Our story is our own. We met before our junior year at University of Iowa, and from the very beginning it just felt comfortable. We truly became friends first, which made everything that followed even more special. When the pandemic hit, we grew incredibly close and decided to move in together shortly after. In the middle of it all, we adopted a sweet senior dog named Billy, who brought so much joy and love into our lives. After Billy passed away, he left the biggest paw print on our hearts. Not long after, Lucy came into our lives and helped heal those pieces, bringing new energy, love, and happiness into our home. Three apartments later, we finally settled into our townhome—with a backyard we love. It’s where we’ve made some of our favorite memories: slow weeknights at home, NFL Sundays, cooking dinner together, and simply enjoying more time side by side. What started on a college campus has grown into the life we’ve built together. For the past six years, we’ve done everything hand in hand—trips, vacations, family holidays, and all the in-between moments. And we’re so excited for whatever comes next.

Jordan and Raquel crossed paths at the Sports Column Bar (aka SPOCO) during the Summer of 2019 at the Annual Iowa City Block Party (very romantic, we know). As much as we'd love to say we remember every detail, let's just say we had a little too much fun that night (sorry, parents). But who would've guessed that, six years later, those two college kids in a bar would grow into the couple they are today—soon to be husband and wife.
