It was a hot summer day and Rysheeda, along with her two friends Ebony and Selena decided to go to a bar for drinks. As they were hanging out at the bar, Peter walked in and bee-lined toward the bar. Being an extreme extrovert, Rysheeda made conversation with a corny joke about him coming to the bar alone. After conversing with Rysheeda and her friends for a little while, Peter eventually came out of his shell. He stopped lingering at the bar and decided to sit down with everyone. Out of all the seating options, he sat next to Rysheeda, splitting her from her friends. Her friends caught the hint and let the pair continue their conversation privately. Peter and Rysheeda talked for what seemed like hours and then Peter stopped mid-conversation and said “I really love talking to you, but I feel like I’m being rude. Can we link up tomorrow and pick up where we left off?” Rysheeda thought that was so smooth and was just immediately drawn to his aura. She of course said yes and the rest is history!

Peter and Rysheeda’s connection is undeniable. They are inseparable and literally became best friends overnight. From adventures in Charlotte, NC together to venturing out to other states, including FL, PA, LA, MA, and VA. Rysheeda pulled out all the tricks to get Peter to fall in love with international travel and eventually he conceded. Over the years, they traveled to Aruba, Mexico, Costa Rica, and most recently, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. If they aren’t traveling, Peter and Rysheeda are trying new restaurants, bars, and activities in the city or hang with family and friends. If you aren’t aware, the other leading lady in Peter’s life is his daughter Bria. After a year of dating, Rysheeda and Bria finally met and it formed the most perfect blended family. Of course, Rysheeda and Bria became besties and for Peter and Rysheeda, date nights became more and more family orientated. Weekends include pajama dance parties, game nights, cook-offs, and many other activities. Five years of dating, a blended family, living in two states, buying a house, a pandemic, and many other ups and downs; "marriage" is their next adventure together.

You know how Rysheeda loves international travel? Well, for her 34th birthday, she planned this extravagant trip galavanting through SE Asia. Peter thought this would be the perfect opportunity to ask the Love of His Life to be his Wife. They were 5 days into their trip and Singapore was the next country on the list. Peter remembered the many times Rysheeda raved about the Marina Bay Sands hotel and how it was beautiful and had the most amazing infinity pool on the rooftop. She discovered this place from one of her favorite movies, "Crazy Rich Asians" and has been obsessed with visiting the hotel ever since. Knowing it was on the agenda to visit that evening for dinner, he knew this would be the perfect place to seal the deal. Just like he thought, Rysheeda was so caught up in the views and taking pictures, she did not notice him clear an area for the proposal. When she turned around, he took both of her hands into his and began his speech. As he got on one knee, Rysheeda started to cry, Peter finished his speech, and ended with, "Will you be my Wife". Of course she said YES!

Peter's POV: Children! After turning 34, it hit me that if we do not start soon, we won't be empty nesters in our 60's. I had my first child when I was 22 and watching Bria grow up has been a highlight of my life. I want to experience that again, but this time with my life partner, my Wife. I know Rysheeda will be an amazing Mother to our future children as I see how amazing she is as a bonus Mom to Bria. I am excited for her to pour that love into our children together. Rysheeda's POV: Definitely children, Peter is an amazing Father to Bria and I cannot wait to see him in that role daily. In addition, I am also looking forward to taking on the world with my forever partner. My Person. I get to spend my life with my best friend, WOW!
