Chris and Josh have been friends since Chris moved into the neighborhood when Josh was in middle school. In middle and high school, they played football and rode the bus together. They have spent many summers going on tubing and kayak fishing trips on the James River. They enjoy their mutual passions of football, fishing, grilling, and sipping bourbon. Interestingly, Chris’ wife is also named Sarah and works with animals.

Dylan and Josh were freshman year random roommates at James Madison University and were roommates again during their senior year. Dylan was maybe the first person to encourage Josh to go running with late night runs through campus and Harrisonburg. They also have enjoyed many late-night shenanigans in Richmond after college.

Matt Shinners

Josh and Matt met when Josh lived in Raleigh after graduating law school. They met at Bond Brothers Run Club in Cary where the shared a lot of miles and beers. They enjoy running races together. They also enjoy their passion of sipping bourbon and went on the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky together.

Josh and Ryan also met at Bond Brothers Run Club in Cary. Josh and his dog Madison lived with Ryan before Josh moved to the beach. Ryan was the inspiration for the Bourbon Trail trip. Josh and Ryan also greatly enjoy trivia, which during the COVID Pandemic, Ryan’s wife Megan, would organize for the friends to play virtually.

Evie Wright

Evie is Sarah's younger sister and one her best friends. While they never accomplished their childhood goal of world domination, they have spent their whole lives bonding over "Lord of the Rings", social justice, and good food. Having lived in North Carolina during law school, Evie was thrilled to learn that Sarah was moving there in 2021. Sarah likes to joke that she only visits so she can get some decent barbecue.

Alicia Medina-Mangubat

Alicia and Sarah met in middle school choir at the tender age of 12. Not only did they survive high school together, but they also attended the same college. They've survived college parties, cross-country moves, and even a music tour of Europe. Their friendship has spanned more than 20 years and carries countless memories as well as a million inside jokes.

Hayley Wright

Hayley is Sarah's sister-in-law, married to her younger sister, Evie. Between board games and craftiness, the two have become good friends since Hayley joined the family. Hayley also has a knack for finding the funniest animal memes, which always make Sarah laugh.

Loghan Wright

Loghan is Sarah's sister-in-law, married to her older brother, Oren. Loghan and Sarah share a love for music, their dogs, and pie-making. As anyone in the Wright-Marshall clan will tell you, making pies is a serious tradition. Baking with Loghan is something Sarah looks forward to whenever the family gets together.
