It's schnauzer never!

In January of 2021, during the height of the pandemic, we connected on a dating app. We have our dogs to thank for our meeting. Both of us had a pup picture on our profiles and simultaneously thought, "That person also has a schnauzer. They're probably pretty cool." Our first date was a hike at Fort Macon State Park, and of course our schnauzers, Madison and Louis, tagged along.

On a quiet, cloudy Friday afternoon, the two of us planned to take the dogs for a walk on the beach at Fort Macon State Park, where we had our first date. However, as soon as we arrived, a thunderstorm rolled in and rain started pouring down. Josh had the brilliant idea to watch the rain from under one of the shelters. With our wet clothes and wet dogs, we hunkered down with some other beachgoers and teenage lifeguards. We watched the rain in content silence, then next think I know, Josh is on one knee with a ring in his hand. I was shouting, "YES," before he could even finish asking. And just like that, we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Raleigh!
