Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

See our Schley Time Travel Guide, Part 2 for our full review on this stunning resort. Rob and I will be staying here! Recently booking through their website and joining their Discovery Club Rewards program allowed us to get a “linger longer” rate of $368/night for a 5 night stay that includes breakfast for two! But we found a rate as low as $343 for the same room last year through Travelocity. So keep your eyes peeled!

Stonefield Estate Resort

This hotel is a short 8 minute drive to Sugarbeach and one of the best value options! See It's Schley Time Travel Guide (Part 2) for full details. We have a room block for this resort that includes a two bedroom and several one bedrooms for between $250-$333/night depending on whether you want an ocean view. Rates are inclusive of breakfast and taxes. In order to book one of the rooms in our block you can email Valna at reservations@stonefieldresort.com or call 1-800-420-5731 and tell them you are with the Butler Schley wedding party. To reserve a room, they ask for a 50% deposit, with the balance paid upon arrival.

“Rustic” open-air concept Resort that offers some great discounts if you catch them at the right time. But unless you get an amazing deal, we would strongly suggest the Stonefield or the Viceroy over this option for the price. Only 11 minute trip to Sugar Beach, directly across from Boucan Hotel Chocolate. No children allowed.

Jade Mountain Resort

Featured on The Bachelor - this is an ultra luxe option! We threw this one in just for funnsies! If you decide to stay here - can we come visit you?! Please note - the drive up to this resort is one of the craziest we experienced on our trip! Strong stomach required and maybe an eye mask! But once you get use to it - it’s not that bad! Also, using water taxis and water shuttles from the Anse Chastenet Beach at the bottom of this resort makes moving from this location to Sugar Beach a breeze.

Affordable Airbnb that is located about 5 minutes from Hotel Chocolate and Arc En Ceil. We looked at the property and thought it was amazing! It’s designed by the same architect that did Ladera. Most houses in Soufriere do not have air conditioning. It didn’t both either Rob or I when we stayed, but just be advised that this property does not have A/C. But at under $100/night per room, this could work for a group perfectly!

This is how Rob and I met in the first place! It’s truly a magical experience. All you need is a captain, a first mate and a crew! Requires some skills - but if you are really considering it, we just might be able to help. Let us know.

Fond Doux Holiday Plantation

For $181/night we couldn't resist checking out this resort on our trip to St. Lucia. We found the room to be pretty awesome, but overall the resort has seen better days. We would only advise this option if Hotel Chocolate is unavailable or if you are specifically looking for a super reasonable two bedroom ($315/night). This resort does not have A/C, but does accept children!

Crystal’s Treehouse

This property is about a 20 minute drive to the Viceroy, but still located in Soufriere. We didn’t have the opportunity to visit this place while we were in St. Lucia but it has great reviews and was voted as the top place to stay by Lonely Planet for several years in a row! You’ll have to forego A/C but you will be staying in an actual treehouse- so there’s that!
