It's perfect for fishing & drinking a beer and catching some sun all at the same time. Get in touch with us if you want more specifics. Make sure you purchase the correct license and follow all rules and regulations set forth by the state. Make sure to bring extra layers to stay warm and if you get sick bring Dramamine in case waters are rough. Interested in Halibut or fighting the salmon!? Check out the Kenai River, Homer or Seward for a guided tour! We recommend the locals at Jimmie Jack's in Kenai!
A convenient round-trip schedule and picturesque landscapes along the route make the Coastal Classic Train a local favorite. From Anchorage, the train winds along Turnagain Arm and through the backcountry wilderness of the Kenai Peninsula; massive glaciers and towering waterfalls can be seen along the way. Upon reaching Seward, the train comes to a halt on the shores of Resurrection Bay, offering easy connections to Kenai Fjords National Park. A seven-hour layover allows plenty of time in Seward before the return rail journey to Anchorage that evening.
Homer is the best place to find hole-in-the-wall restaurants that are locally owned & operated. Finn's has the best made from scratch pizza with a view on the Homer Spit. There is seating downstairs & above. 🥰 Enjoy a wide variety of Alaska microbrews with your wood-fired pizza while you are surrounded by Alaska's beauty! If this place is crowded you might also try Fat Olives - both are very popular.
