Question

What does an "unplugged" ceremony mean?

Answer

We ask guests to put away their devices during the ceremony and be present with us in the moment! We hired a fabulous photographer and we promise to share his photos with each and every one of you. :) Devices (cellphones, tablets, personal cameras, etc.) are welcome at the reception only. Please respect this request!

Question

June 18th - No Host Brews

Answer

7:30 PM Join us on the rooftop patio of 49th State Brewing Co overlooking the Cook Inlet and Alaska Range for some award-winning local brews and great company as we kick off the celebration! This event is casual. Come and go as you please. We hope to see you there! RSVP not required, we're just excited to see who plans on stopping by! Check out their webpage online to see what they have for food & drinks. https://www.49statebrewing.com/anchorage/

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

They may attend the ceremony at the church. However, we want the reception to be your night off! We ask that only children who are in the wedding party, or are 16+ years of age or currently breastfeeding attend. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home during the reception so you can celebrate with us. Thank you in advance! :)

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. If your invitation says “Plus One” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Thank you for your understanding!!

Question

What is proper church etiquette?

Answer

Silence cell phones. Men remove hats prior to entry of the church. For those that have small children that get restless or disruptive, there is a cry room with speakers so you can still hear the ceremony.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal, please.

Question

Will the ceremony & reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is indoors. Our reception will be tent-covered on a lawn. There will be yard games. Weather in June is typically quite lovely with high 50s but we can still get wind or rain so bringing a light jacket might not be a bad idea just in case. Highly recommend monitoring the weather to plan accordingly.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head straight to the reception where we will be serving finger foods and beverages. DJ Biz will be there playing some tunes.

Question

Do you have a hashtag we can use for documenting the celebrations?

Answer

#ItsBurgerTime

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding or reception, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “not attending,” so we can plan accordingly.
