Travel

The Wedding Website of Isabel Casas and Ryan Watson
Whether you choose to drive, fly, or relax on a train or bus to Santa Barbara, we invite you to explore your travel options below. Please do not hesitate to email, text, or call if you'd like more information about all or any of the travel options.

Train

Pacific Surfliner

Catch the Flyaway shuttle at LAX to Los Angeles' Union Station where you can hop on the Pacific Surfliner and make your way up the pacific coast to Santa Barbara.

Flight

LAX to SBA

Catch a short connecting flight from LAX directly to Santa Barbara.

Rental Car

405 to the 101

If you prefer to rent a car, arm yourself with a little patience and some snacks and take the 405 (I-405) North to the 101 (US 101) West up to Santa Barbara. Depending on the time of day (and how fast you drive!), it can take as little as one hour and forty minutes. Ideal times to arrive and travel are mornings and early afternoon between 9:00am-2:00 pm or later in the evening around 7:00 pm. Initiating your journey during high traffic times such as 3:00 pm-6:00 pm might add an hour or so to your commute. If you'd like more information on local traffic patterns or would like to spend some time in the area while traffic dies down we would be happy to recommend local sights and activities. Please don't hesitate to contact us.

Travel Note

Santa Barbara Air Bus

"Santa Barbara Airbus makes 16 trips daily between Los Angeles International Airport with stops in Goleta, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara." The SB Air Bus is a charter type of bus that makes pick up and drop off convenient. Tickets may be purchased online and you may also take advantage of services like Lyft once you're in Santa Barbara.

Travel Note

Lyft

If you decide not rent a vehicle downloading the Lyft application ahead of time will give you on demand access to transportation while you're in the SB area.

Travel Note

Hotel

Although we were not able to reserve blocks of hotel rooms for our guests ( It turns out UCSB's graduations are the same week!), we are more than happy to help you locate an accommodation that fits your budget and our location. There are some hotel options in the neighboring cities of Lompoc, Carpinteria, and Solvang. Solvang is a little over 20 miles away from the venue, but if you're looking to make your trip out here a bit of a vacation it's a lovely spot to arrive and wake up in. If you would like to stay as close to Santa Barbara as possible, then Carpinteria might be the next best option. You might also want to look into Air BnB as a potential option. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any doubts about your selection.
