Shannon is Kristi’s little sister. They are over 4.5 years apart, and Shannon definitely provided a lot of entertainment as the "baby" of the family. Sibling rivalry was not uncommon for them growing up, though despite their differences, they have been growing closer and closer over the years. They now notice how much they truly have in common - especially their highly motivated nature when it comes to schooling, and desire to help others. They are currently both in school for their Masters, with Shannon to become a Speech Language Pathologist and Kristi a Nurse Practitioner.
Jonathan Liebowitz
Best Man
Jeff and Jon met in the womb. Identical twins, to differentiate the two as babies, their parents dressed Jeff in red and Jon in blue. When they were young the two were inseparable. Growing up they constantly competed with each other in just about everything they did - academics, music, sports, etc. As they grew older they became much more independent and started getting interested in different things. Despite growing apart, they still have many things in common and will always have a mutual love of music.
Amanda Verdon
Bridesmaid
Kristi and Amanda met freshman year of high school when they nearly had identical schedules. By probably their third class together, they became friends and quickly realized how similar their lives were. They were always having fun - from chucking clay to the ceiling in ceramics class, to laughing so hard in algebra that Kristi was forced to move her desk into the hall to separate them. After high school, they grew apart a bit from the distance of college and life, but are both super excited now that Amanda moved back to the area!
Scott Young
Groomsman
Jeff and Scott first met playing football in 6th grade. The next year they became teammates and instantly clicked, both on and off the football field. Throughout high school the two grew closer. Jeff and Scott had so many great memories playing football and listening to reggae music and hanging out in the "Spacement" (Scott's basement growing up). When they left for college, despite the distance, (Scott to Florida and Jeff to Troy, NY) the two tried to stay in touch with each other as best they could. They always get together whenever they can, either back home in CT or when Jeff escapes the cold and visits Florida. Despite the distance, Jeff and Scott can always just pick right up where they last left off.
Sam Hartshorn
Bridesmaid
Kristi and Sam met in intro to physiology at Dutchess Community College. Though they both went different paths, ultimately they both wound up nurses. Kristi can largely attribute finally trying CrossFit to Sam, who convinced her to try CrossFit 845. They began talking more, and finally Kristi was able to update Sam in her phone past “Sam from Bio”. Now, they talk practically every day, and offer frequent reminders to one another on tough days as to why they chose to become a nurse.
Kevin Irish Jr. (KJ)
Groomsman
KJ is Kristi's big brother. Though they are about 3.5 years apart, they have always had each other's back. KJ is incredible at impressions, and could always make Kristi laugh with his Donald Duck impression growing up (seriously, ask him to do it!). They also clearly had some fantastic fashion as kids :) (thanks Mom!) He is already living up to true Uncle fashion, and can get his pup niece hyped up in an instant!
Bailey
Dog of Honor
Bailey came into Kristi and Jeff’s lives when they met her at an adoption event in 2015. They took her for a walk, and Kristi jokingly said “if you go potty for us we’ll adopt you right now” to which Bailey took a few steps and proceeded to both pee and poop. She later fell asleep on Jeff’s lap, and totally sealed the deal. Bailey is in training to be a therapy dog, and Kristi hopes to involve her in her practice as an eventual Nurse Practitioner. She will try to be on her best behavior at the alter, and cannot wait to see you all!
Brianna & Kelcie
Flower Girl
Brianna and Kelcie are Kristi’s nieces. She absolutely loves being their Auntie, and they especially enjoy manicure/pedicure days, watching Disney movies, and building forts that are much more Brianna/Kelcie size but insisting Kristi join. The two are going to walk the aisle as the cutest flower girl duo ever :)
Beth Rizzi
Officiant
Beth is lovingly known as the “gym mom” at CrossFit 845. Not only is she awesome at the gym, but she’s also an amazing baker and always brings the best desserts. She is such an inspiration for Kristi, and always a good push and motivator for Jeff! They will be honored to have her up there with them on such an important day.
