Best Man
Craig and Axle became fast friends after a catching a screening of 'Batman Begins' and grew up together in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. They have frequented Bonaroo and other music festivals throughout the years (according to Elton John, they "f---ing get it!"), survived their own daring recipe of Jungle Juice and continue to share the same sense of humor and passion for music and cinema. With an unreal sense of humor and timing, Craig is known to transform a quiet room into cackling and thigh slapping. Having spent their formative years together Axle, John and Craig honor their bond as a "brotherhood." Craig and his girlfriend Sam, currently live in Lexington, KY with their cat, Lucy and their dog, Mina. With a mutual love of practical jokes, they keep each other laughing and on their toes.
Matron of Honor
Christine Kuykendall has served as Irene's partner in crime since they spoke their own language as young children. They've seen each other through many of life's twists and turns, survived daring expeditions (getting locked in the bottom of the Queen Mary, for example) and growing up together, all with a shared sense of sarcasm and adventure. Their random knowledge of 90s movie quotes and song lyrics could win them a trivia night or two and they continue to show up for one another when it counts the most. With a love of culture and travel, they share their trekking stories and dreams to this day. Christine and her husband Matt, live in Richmond and love to travel.
Matron of Honor
With her love of fantasy, sci-fi and adventure, her focus on natural healing and her knack for being prepared for unexpected situations (snack, flashlight, or clippers, anyone?), Michelle Isaacs set the example of individual expression for her two younger sisters. She turned chores into games, made complicated kitchen concoctions and opened the door for Irene and Christine's creativity when they were children. She and her husband, James, live in Tennessee with their intelligent and bright daughter, Kila and their adorable dog, Ruby.
Flower Girl
Kila is the spunky, energetic and intelligent daughter of Michelle and James Isaacs and is Irene's niece. She loves watching She-Ra, visiting her local library and cuddling with her dog, Ruby. When she's not asking questions or telling a story, she's stealing bacon or cheese from her Mom's plate (Mom food is always the best). Kila is excited to twirl, laugh and dance at the wedding!
Ring Bearer
With a deep appreciation for all things Marvel Universe, spending time at the beach with his family and playing video games until he is forced to stop for food and rest, Dorian Martin is a high schooler with spunk and personality. As Dorian is Irene's godson, he will forever be the reigning champion of the "most beautiful child with red hair in the universe" superlative and an insatiable class clown (they both run in the family). Dorian lives in Virginia with his family, where he plays soccer and basketball and takes advanced science and math classes. He is excited to serve as the ring bearer, wear a dapper suit and attend the wedding.
Groomsman
Having connected in middle school over their shared love of theatre, film and writing, Axle and John became fast friends and have remained close throughout the years. John's natural knack for inappropriate timing and "punny" sense of humor has earned him the Best/ Worst Dad Jokes of All Time Award, more than once. An enthusiast of 'The Witcher' series and all things Pokémon, this avid reader and gamer fills his time debating nerd culture and making predictions for upcoming storylines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his girlfriend and friends. John hails from Big Stone Gap, Virginia and is known for having portrayed multiple characters (including the lead, Jack) in the play 'The Trail of the Lonesome Pine'. He lives with family and a handful of happy doggos in Big Stone Gap.
