We ask that our guests tuck their phones and tablets away for our Screen-Free Ceremony, in order to stay present with us during this momentous occasion. We will share our professional photos and wedding video once they are made available. You are encouraged, however, to snap away during the Reception. Use hashtag #ireneandaxle when posting your favorite photos!
Yes, the ceremony is outdoors. Try and keep this in mind when considering your attire and footwear. The weather is changeable in the Blue Ridge Mountains and it is better to be prepared, than without a plan. Please consider that the reception will take place on location, in a barn. Wood chips will be covering the ground, so wear comfortable shoes.
Due to multiple postponements and needing to reschedule, there were no Saturday events available at the selected venue for the spring of 2022. We opted for a Sunday wedding in mid - May, in order to prioritize our guests' comfort, instead of picking a Saturday when it may be too cold or too hot.
Yes, the registry is on this website, but there is no expectation that you will purchase us a gift. However, if you feel so inclined, please contribute what is comfortable for you to our honeymoon fund.
No, there are no hotel blocks reserved. We trust our guests to find suitable accommodations for themselves. If you are wondering what the area offers, search "Montvale" at TripAdvisor.com
In order to keep our guest count reasonable, we ask that only family members bring their little ones to the wedding. We suggest that guests who are parents and non-family members, allow a grandparent or family friend to take their kiddo(s) for a night or two and enjoy some romantic "grown-up" time in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Due to the recent surges in the pandemic and the attendance of at-risk guests, we ask that all attendees show proof of their vaccination status. Guests are also encouraged to wear masks indoors and to maintain social distancing when appropriate. If the weather permits, guests may also eat outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
