We ask that you first review EAST BEACH or TENNIS COURT VILLAS options when booking villas and homes for transportation purposes. A part of the Kiawah Island Resort, the Sanctuary is a stunning oceanfront luxury hotel centrally located on the island. The hotel has several restaurants, a pool, and a five-star spa. Andell Inn

Located outside the Kiawah gated entrance, The Andell Inn is located in Freshfields about 12 minute drive from The Sanctuary (Ceremony & Reception) and a 5 minute drive to Mingo Point (Welcome Party). Please note this hotel won't have the complimentary shuttle service offered.

Flight

Charleston International Airport (CHS)

About an hour drive to Kiawah Island. We highly recommend renting a car and not relying on ride shares/Ubers. Car/shuttle service can also be arranged to secure transport to and from the airport. The Kiawah Island Resort concierge can assist with arranging transfer if you are staying at a Resort property. When in doubt, carpool!

On-Island Transportation

Once on Kiawah, transportation options are more limited. If you are staying with the Resort (including the Sanctuary and the Villa's), you will have access to its complimentary shuttle service. Otherwise, we recommend renting a car as ride share services are NOT available on the island. You can use the link below to find the best car rental for you! Bikes are also an incredibly fun and easy way to get around and explore. *For those not staying on the island, when you arrive on Saturday to the gated portion of Kiawah Island, stay in the left lane and you will need to let the gate agents know you need a day-pass for a wedding at The Sanctuary.*
