General Jackson Showboat
We have been on the General Jackson Showboat dinner cruises and loved them. This is a lifetime memory that everyone will love. The food is superior to most dinner theaters and the site down the river to downtown Nashville is breathtaking. Make sure you have space on your phone because you will want to take lots of pictures. The entertainment is very good, fun and memorable. The boarding dock for the showboat is 5 minutes from the Opryland Hotel and there is also a free shuttle.
Opry Mills
If you like shopping you will love this mall. Even if you don't like shopping there is something for everyone. It has every major brand outlet in world. A 30 screen movie theater, 15 restaurants and several dinner theaters are all included. It is a 5 minute walk from the Opryland Hotel and there is also a free shuttle.
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
You do not have to like country music to visit this amazing location. If you like music you will like spending time at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Downtown Franklin, TN
From shopping in quaint little stores, to history, to great restaurants there is something for everyone in this beautiful town 15 miles south of Nashville. It is one of the top 5 best main streets in America. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and make you feel like you are at home. There is so much to do including checking out the Franklin Theater https://www.franklintheatre.com which is a historic old-fashion movie theater that has been completely restored to the glory days of Hollywood.
Tennessee State Capitol
A National Historic Landmark, the Tennessee State Capitol sits on the highest hill in the central city. Designed in the Greek Revival Style by architect William Strickland who moved to Nashville from Philadelphia, it is his last and perhaps his finest work. Strickland began his career as an apprentice to Benjamin Latrobe, the first architect of the U.S. Capitol. He died in 1854, before the completion of the Tennessee State Capitol, and, according to his wishes, was buried in the walls of the northeast corner of the building.

The Parthenon

Since then, the Parthenon has continued to host changing art exhibitions in its galleries and to educate both Nashvillians and visitors about the legacy of the ancient Greeks and their impact on American civilization.

Nashville offers a great museum on Tennessee history full of rich and meaningful stories. This is a world-class museum that will really be a special trip.
