Kailey and Ilana have been best friends for 10 years. They met through youth group in high school, went to the same college, and have more memories, inside jokes, and depth of friendship than could ever be put into words. Ilana couldn't say "I Do" without her goofiness, helpfulness, and genuine love and loyalty.

Hannah was the RA on the floor above Ilana's floor in college. They quickly became friends and spent the year running up and down the stairs to each other's rooms for laughter, processing, and support. When Ilana moved to Portland, Hannah was the only friend that she had there. Ilana has loved living in close proximity to Hannah these years and is grateful for Hannah's down to earth demeanor, endless reassurance, and well-timed wit and wisdom.

After Ilana's first few months at L'Arche Portland, Hannah (who Ilana lovingly refers to as Quaker Hannah) joined the L'Arche community as a Quaker Volunteer. Ilana immediately began a fierce pursuit of Hannah's friendship, which it turns out wasn't very hard to achieve. Ilana and Hannah spent the next years processing the joys and sorrows of life very close together. Ilana loves the deep belly laugher, properly-placed core member quotes, and spirit of trust that she finds in Hannah.
Kazuaki Uemura
Father of the Groom
We are so grateful to have Spencer's dad officiate the ceremony. Few people know that he is unaccomplished actor; in college his wrestling coach got athletes gigs as extras in a TV show and a made-for-TV movie. Kaz likes apple desserts and almost anything with dark chocolate.
Clark Uemura
Groomsman
Clark is Spencer's older brother, and has been living in Tokyo, Japan for the past few years. He is a multi-marathon runner, and ranked #3,034,211 in Text Twist. He is a fan of chips and guacamole as well as sea salt kettle chips.
Mason Uemura
Groomsman
Mason is Spencer's younger brother, and is now a resident of Cleveland, OH. He recently returned from a solo backpacking trip in Ecuador and Mexico where he ate delicious food and made Spencer a little jealous. His favorite snack is sugar snap peas.
