Den original! Alltid en bra tid i bästa fotomuseum i världen! Har en champagne medan du tittar på bilder som förändrade världen. The original, and best, photography in the world. Exhibits spanning art to world affairs, photography that has changed the world or at least will change your mind. Have a champagne or beer while you explore the galleries, or visit their tasty cafe (this is Sweden, have we mentioned fika?).
Vasa Museum
Dåligt skepp i bra skick. Bad boat in good condition. This boat sank immediately, and we mean immediately, after being launched. Come to learn about Sweden’s powerful past and the timelessness of incompetence in government contracting.
Nordiska museet
A great museum that has both exhibits on Nordic life and culture along with rotating exhibitions.
ABBA The Museum
Pretty fun, even if you don’t really care about ABBA.
Gamla stan
The old city. A neighborhood, as opposed to just one thing to do. See one the castles for the king, walk past the Swedish parliament, stop in at a store dedicated to all things nautical, or just enjoy an ancient, narrow, European neighborhood. Y’all won’t see this in the U S of A!
Pom & Flora
Mysigt fik med en otroligt god chai latte och härliga frukost rätter. Cozy cafe with a delicious chai latte and wonderful breakfast dishes.
Le Violon Dingue
Det här stället har dem bästa kanelbullarna och kardemummabullarna i Stockholm. Om du inte gillar dem, kommer vi att äta dem åt dig. This crazy violin (this time it’s French! In Sweden! These Europeans!) has crazy good kanelbullar och kardemummabullar (cinnamon buns and cardamom buns). If you don’t try at least one of each before you leave Sweden, did you even visit Sweden?
Mr Cake
We dare you to not buy one of everything at this amazing pastry shop.
Deglabbet Södermalm
Our favorite pizza place in Stockholm! It’s not Swedish pizza, which one could argue is a good thing. Come to “the dough lab” (to save you time with Google translate) for some delicious Neapolitan pizza.
Hermans
Possibly our favorite restaurant, buffet-style whose tastiness will have you forget that all the food is vegan.
A bar called Gemma
Cocktailbar med supergoda drinkar och oftast en bra spellista. Eller, dom spelade Foo Fighters en gång så vi litar på att dom kan⭐️ This cocktail bar has amazing drinks and amazing choice in music. So says Kicki who once heard them play the Foo Fighters here. Phil says go for the drinks and relaxed atmosphere.
Nya Carnegiebryggeriet
Carnegie brewpub. The Swedes aren’t going to travel to this one because they might be able to get their most famous beer (100 Watt IPA) at their local liquor store. But they’re missing out because this place is relaxed, has a ton of great beers and food, and is on a cute little river with the shortest ferry you’ve ever seen on it. Sometimes it takes a tourist’s eye to see the best in a city.
Savant Bar
Naturlig vinbar med ekologiska viner och säsongsinspirerad meny. Prova deras choklad praliner till dessert! Natural wine bar with organic wines and a seasonal menu. Try their chocolate truffles for dessert!
