Yaaaay! We are taking a chartered boat from Stockholm to the venue. Meet at Gustav III Statue at 1:30 PM on Friday the 31st. Please bring all your stuff as we won’t be back in Stockholm until after the wedding is over Here’s a link to navigate to the statue/boat pickup location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bHaAT1URdttUCkrB6?g_st=ic
We are all staying at the wedding venue which is also a hotel (Skeviks Gård). Please send an email to reception@skevik.se to add your name to a room. Alla ska bo på Skeviks gård hela helgen. Skicka ett mail till reception@skevik.se för att boka rum.
Send an email to: reception@skevik.se The room rates are 750 kr (approx. $75) per person/per night including breakfast. If you are coming on the boat you will need to book 2 nights! There is a spa and relax room that is 275 kr ($27ish) per person if interested as well. They have outdoor hottubs or badtunnor overlooking the archipelago that can be fun after a long boat ride. Can be booked on site!
Kind of! Ideally the kids stay at home as we imagine this as an adults-only weekend, but we know child care can be difficult. They can attend snacks on the boat (Friday) and for brunch (Sunday). However, on Saturday we will have a babysitter on site that will be there from 2pm-late to make sure your kids are taken care of and you get to dance your heart out without them making fun of you.
There are a number of activities at Skeviks gård and restaurants in town that are just a short bike ride, walk, or bus away. We will also have a few bride/groom-led events. Swedes go to the archipelago to relax and recover, so we encourage you to do the same! An on-site spa, easy water access, and hopefully too many hours of sunlight will allow you to wind down. See their website for more information. We’ll post some more ideas as we get closer.
Contact us for now until we figure out who to put in charge! We can relay the message when the time comes.
We have booked a bus for everyone not driving on Sunday after check out and brunch to take you back to Stockholm. Please note that most flights leave for the US early in the morning so we suggest finding a hotel for Sunday night in Stockholm. If you are renting a car for your time in Sweden it is a short 35min drive into the city. Uber and Bolt are other rideshare options if you can't make the boat on Friday and don't plan on renting a car. Additionally, Sweden has some of the best public transportation in the world as well if you choose to go that route, with a bus stop in front of the hotel.
I think that's a statement, but if you have any questions or something isn't clear, please reach out to us through text/phone/email whenever!
