The Idyllwild Wedding

As you would avoid wearing white to most weddings, AVOID WEARING PURPLE at ours! Attire is Cocktail, Semi-Formal, Gala, High Fashion — come as your most gorgeous self. Our ceremony will be celebrated in the grassy forest clearing just off the circle drive, so plan your shoes accordingly. Ceremony begins at 2:00 pm. Cocktails & dinner reception to follow.
Ceremony
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Find us in the forest clearing at the white gazebo, off the circle drive. Arrive early so as to not interrupt the procession or vows.
Cocktail Hour
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Together, we will promenade to the upper deck. The bar is located downstairs. Cocktail hour will feature tea-infused sweet & savory fondue from TeaHaus in Ann Arbor.
Entrances, Odes, & First Dance
3:33 pm
Descend the stairs to reach the lower deck. Find your seat to make way for the wedding party entrances, odes to those deserving recognition on the wedding day, and the Idyllwilds’ first dance as newlyweds.
Buffet Dinner

Dancing
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Following the mothers' dances, join us on the dance floor to celebrate the 21st night of September!
Cider & Doughnuts
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
A dessert to herald the coming autumn, cider & doughnuts provided by local orchards.
Sunset Promenade in the Woods
7:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Together, with the widely recognized tradition of the first dance for newlyweds, we intend to embark on our first "hike" as a married couple, before sun sets on the last day of summer. The Idyllwilds cordially invite all those interested to join us in this adventure. Shoe coverings will be provided for your convenience.
Bonfire & S'mores
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us around the fire out back to make some late-night snacks.
Last Dance & Goodbyes
8:30 pm - 9:00 pm
At the celebration's conclusion, the Idyllwilds will finish the night with a final dance, bidding farewell to those departing.
