Rent (or bring) some skis or a snowboard to see what it's like to ski like Olympians! Palisades Tahoe hosted the Winter Olympics in 1960!
High Camp
If you have time to take the Tram up to High Camp, you'll find yourself speechless with the incredible view of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains! If you're skiing, you can stop here for lunch too!
Truckee
Check out this adorable old mining town that has many shops, restaurants and more! You can easily spend an afternoon walking around this historic mining town. If you find yourself in Truckee, check out the chocolate store on the main strip. The chocolate is DELICIOUS!
Alpine Meadows
Alpine Meadows is a part of the Palisades family. Check out what local's will refer to as "their" mountain. It's usually less windy and less crowded, but just as fun as Palisades.
Lake Tahoe
If you decide to rent a car or to call the Mountaineer to pick you up, check out the beautiful Lake Tahoe by traveling to Tahoe City, CA. Lake Tahoe is unique by being super large, super deep, and SUPER BLUE!!!!! It's quite beautiful to look at and photograph.

Resort at Squaw Creek offers 10 km of groomed Nordic trails right outside our back door. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll appreciate our superbly maintained trails which wind through a mountain meadow and lead into the hills beyond. Resort at Squaw Creek offers cross country ski and snowshoe rentals to explore many of our nearby trails.
