Ireland is a childhood friend of Zaira, one of her closest and best friends. They have known each other since fifth grade and have always been there for each other when times get tough. They act like your average sister duo. Although they don’t talk or see each other often, when they can be together, it’s always a fun and emotional time filled with countless memories.

Tyler and Ian met at Little Rock Air Force Base, where they are both stationed. Ian and Tyler worked mids shift (12 A.M. - 8 A.M.) together for a year. Throughout this time spent together they became good friends. Both of them enjoy the same video games and talk about it a lot. 

Athena Cullen

Zaira met Athena through a mutual friend and is so glad to have someone like her in her life. She knows she can always count on Athena to be real and honest about anything she asks or any situation going on around her. Athena is one of the sweetest and toughest souls Zaira has ever encountered, and she truly cherishes the friendship they share.

Andrew is Ian's younger brother. While they were growing up, they kept to themselves for the most part. Despite this they love each other very much. Now that they are older, they frequently text each other about how Andrew is doing in school and about his extracurricular activities (such as Collegiate Rocket League). Ian cherishes the relationships he has with both of his brothers.

Stephanie Orellana

Stephanie and Zaira met during basic military training (BMT), and Stephanie was not only one of the kindest people Zaira encountered during that time, but she also helped Zaira grow in her faith. Zaira recognized that Stephanie was someone worth keeping in her life. She feels incredibly thankful for Stephanie's gentle heart, especially considering they met during such an intense period in their lives.

Gattlin Janes

Gattlin and Zaira had known each other since Zaira was a freshman in high school, but they didn't become friends until she decided to join the military and walked into the recruiter’s office where he was waiting for recruiter to give him his assignment for the day. Their friendship grew from there, as Zaira frequently sought his advice for Basic Military Training (BMT) and eventually confided in him about everything happening in her life. He was one of the first people to learn about her feelings for Ian.

Morgan Leist

Although Morgan and Zaira's friendship is relatively new, Morgan has quickly become the best friend Zaira could have hoped for at her first base. Zaira values Morgan's advice on everything from haircuts to the equipment they work with. She also appreciates having someone she can genuinely talk to at work.

Lucas Turner

Lucas and Ian met in the 6th grade when Lucas moved to South Carolina across the street from Ian's grandparents' house. Ian and Lucas would be outside playing soccer or running around the neighborhood every time Ian would spend the weekend at his grandparents. They had multiple classes together throughout 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. To this day Ian and Lucas play video games together on a daily basis. Lucas is one of Ian's oldest friends and will likely remain that way forever.

Eric and Zaira met during their sophomore year of high school, and he quickly became one of her best friends. No matter the time, she knew she could call Eric, and he would do his best to offer her advice or help her with whatever she needed. Eric always called Zaira "Lil Sis," and she has always counted on him like having another brother.

Zac Martin

Zac is Ian's youngest brother. Growing up together Zac and Ian didn't always see eye to eye but their bond is unlike any other. Ian and Zac don't get to see each other often due to Ian being stationed 12 hours away, but when they are together it is clear that Ian loves Zac with all his heart. Zac and Ian also share the same hobby of video gaming. 

Keyda Warren

Keyda is Zaira's other half (besides Ian) and her absolute best friend. Even though they are miles apart, they never go a day without talking, and the slightest update in their lives leads to an immediate call or text to each other. Their friendship began with mutual intense dislike, but Zaira can’t imagine her life without Keyda. She needs her just as much as she needs her lung to breathe (Ian is like the other lung).

Hunter and Ian met in senior year of high school, they quickly became close friends during the time they spent in English class and hanging out outside of school. Hunter is Ian's closest friend, and he considers Hunter like another brother (from another mother).
