Wedding Party

Ella Hennen

Bridesmaid

While Ella and Megan *technically* met through Facebook, they first officially met in-person as freshman year roommates at the University of Minnesota. As the only suitemate from Minnesota, Ella shared many of her hometown favorites with the group, including the Minnesota State Fair, The Walker Art Center, and dinners at Chino Latino. You'd usually find Megan and Ella both with a camera in hand wherever they went, and the two made plenty of memories with their travels over the years. Ella currently resides in Minneapolis, but Megan and Ella frequently see each other on trips around the Midwest.

Charles Hutchinson

Best Man

Quite the stark contrast to Megan’s only child status, Emily, Robert, and Charles all arrived as siblings on the same day. Growing up together, Charles and Robert played on the same sports teams and shared many of the same hobbies. Charles has become self-made expert on shoes and is a retired lawn jockey. Today, Charles and Robert connect over the professional Minnesota sports scene and play the occasional video game together now and then. Always the life of the party and known fondly by our grandparents as the wild child, you never know what you are going to get next with Charles.

MaiLei Meyers

Bridesmaid

While Megan and Ella also *technically* met MaiLei through Facebook, they all officially met in person on freshman year move-in, when they all shared a suite in the dorms. MaiLei & Megan built a shared love for the Minneapolis coffee scene throughout college, and visited a different local coffee shop each Sunday leading up to graduation. MaiLei now lives in Los Angeles, but the two still keep up through trips to visit each other, Mario Kart nights, and Facetime calls to discuss their own coffee adventures and TV shows + movies they've seen recently.

Tayven Badger

Groomsman

Tayven and Robert are cousins that always ran around together when their families got together. Tayven, Charles, and Robert played countless hours of backyard football, video games, and always made sure to make time to pose for a photo. The wildest times came when during Christmas in July and the “gifts” started to become a competition between Chris and Tony to see who could pull one over on the other. We are still not sure where that last creepy doll ended up. Today, Tayven and Robert still get together at family gatherings and pose for those everlasting family photos.

Alex Schmieden

Bridesmaid

Plot twist; Alex and Megan did NOT meet over Facebook before attending college together. MaiLei and Alex grew up together in East Troy, WI, and MaiLei introduced Alex to Ella and Megan during Welcome Week. Alex and Megan grew close over many spontaneous adventures around the Cities, as well as nights-in binging movies & TV shows Megan had never seen. Alex still lives in St. Paul, and they've kept up the trips up with visits between Nebraska and Minnesota in the years after graduation.

Jevin Pietzmeier

Groomsman

Jevin and Robert first met in high school through the freshman football team. Both weren’t what you call particularly quick, but they made up for it in their ability to battle in the trenches. Over those years, the two became partners in the weight room and were throwers on the track team, with Jevin focusing primarily on discus and Robert on shotput. Throughout college, the two kept in touch through Jevin’s spontaneous visits to Lincoln and get togethers during the holidays. Today they enjoy playing both board and video games together.

Taylor Bartek

Bridesmaid

Taylor actually first met Robert while working at Milliman together, but became friends with Megan through brunches and other coworker hangouts Megan tagged along on. When they're not exploring new restaurants around town, the two are often found discussing the latest Formula 1 news with Robert, or hanging out at board game nights.

Logan Groesser

Groomsman

Logan and Robert met sometime during middle school and remained friends in high school. The pair then became roommates during their first year in college and that is where the unforgettable memories and friendship truly began. Together they made new friends, got to know themselves, and experienced the floor flooding (on Robert’s birthday no less). Logan and Robert have continued to make the effort to remain in touch through board game nights and are always up for another round of Smash Up.

Robin Welchans

Bridal Attendant

Robin and Megan first connected at Marian in a shared class freshman year, where Robin complemented Megan's mockingjay keychain, and the two discussed all things Hunger Games. Their shared interests only grew over time - Megan introduced Robin to Fall Out Boy (and years later, the two made it to Chicago to see the opening night of So Much for (Tour) Dust), Robin showed Megan all the original Star Wars films, and they both shared many games of UNO with their friend Maria in scripture class. Today, you might find Robin, Megan and Mary getting Runza fries together, or enjoying what Omaha's parks have to offer in the warmer months.

Zach Cairney

Groomsman

Zach and Robert met through their first jobs out of college at Milliman. The two became quickly became friends. Zach’s "always say yes" attitude for going to events and hangouts is something to be admired. Heck, Zach even took a chance and moved to Minneapolis for a year. During that time, Robert showed him and others around the Minnesota State Fair and ate until they could eat no more. Today Zach is back in Omaha, and the two still get together for happy hours and enjoy gaming together as well.

Mary Hilton

Bridesmaid

Mary and Megan also met at Marian, initially through mutual friends made freshman year before the friend groups merged into one larger crew. The two grew close over the years through shared art and science classes, hanging out in the hallways in the morning, and plenty of senior lunches at the park with Robin. When Robin, Megan, and Mary hang out, Mary's always the first to offer to drive, and always comes prepared with everyone's favorite drink from the gas station.

Sean Laurent

Groomsman

Sean and Robert also met at Milliman and worked on the same team for a time. The two quickly bonded over their shared passion for motorsports, specifically NASCAR. The pair also studied for a few exams together on the weekends and would eventually go to the kitchen and turn on the race for extra focus. Before Sean moved back to the St. Louis area, Robert and Sean explored what Omaha had to offer together, and of course found some vintage Dale Jarret pint glasses. Today they still catch each other up on their lives over FaceTime and text about the major racing news.

Emily Hutchinson

Usher

Emily of course makes up another third of the triplets. Growing up, Emily and Robert enjoyed (or maybe got too competitive) playing cards with the grandparents. Over the years, they shared many things, from friends, to a cellphone, and even the minivan when they went off to Lincoln for college. Nowadays the sharing may be a bit less required, but they still want to win that last card game.

Lizzy Hutchinson

Usher

Growing up, Lizzy may have has also felt like she had five bosses, but on Megan and Robert’s wedding day, the tables will turn and she will get to boss other people around. Over the years, Lizzy and Robert have enjoyed late night drives through plains of Iowa and made time to pose next to any giant bull sculptures.
