Best Man
Michael is one of John's older brothers. At one time, Michael and several other family members gave drunk folks rides home in St. Louis (a pre-Uber business). Basically Avengers - he saved lives. Michael isn't afraid to let his hair down - expect to see him on the dance floor reliving his AC/DC days.
Bridesmaid
Shaz is a smart cookie grad school friend. She has a free spirit, Amanda's favorite laugh and a marvelous smile. Add wine for crazy dance moves.
Groomsman
David is John's oldest brother. He is a great listener and quick to share his wisdom. Like many of the Oliver boys, David is an expert at reciting movie lines.
Bridesmaid
Britney is another smart cookie grad school friend. Though she does not suffer fools, she is still friends with Amanda (and Shaz, she says “I just can’t” A LOT). Britney has goals and chases them; get out of her way world.
Groomsman
Tom is another one of John's older brothers. He and John share a love of soccer and the St. Louis sports scene. If the Olivers were ever stranded on an island, he'd be most likely to survive due to his training as a scout leader for his son, Gregory.
Bridesmaid
A tough AF chemo buddy who beat the odds (again) - she will be 8 months pregnant at the time of the wedding! We are over the moon for Matt and Monique, and couldn't think of a better reason for them to miss this celebration <3
Groomsman
Chance and John were college teammates and roommates. Chance is probably one of the most organized and persistent people John knows. He works for Amazon and basically ensures that the world works. John learned a thing or two from Chance, which helped him keep Amanda interested while he was living two time zones away.
Bridesmaid
A tough AF chemo buddy whose cancer came back a few years ago. She loved weddings and helped Amanda plan this one on Pinterest. Erin passed away in January and would love for us to live it up.
Groomsman
Pat and John met at cross country camp just before starting high school. They immediately bonded over running and their use of hair products.
Usher
Nathan and John were college teammates and roommates at North Central College. Nathan is a loving dog-parent, and has encyclopedic knowledge of other people's PRs and comic book super heroes. His wit and expert delivery cannot be outdone.
Usher
Kurt and John have a storied history that began in kindergarten. Though their carpool adventures stopped when they graduated high school and went to different colleges, they continue to bond over their love of all things St. Louis.
Officiant
Brian has been critical to this love story from the start. On the night they met, Brian vouched for John and danced like a wild man to prevent Amanda's friends from pulling her back into their circle. Without the excuse to visit Brian in Chicago, John would have just been a quirky guy that sent Amanda postcards every so often. Not the super lucky guy that is marrying her. John and Amanda thought it would be fitting for Brian to officially start their next chapter together. Bring on the wild man dance moves.
