One of the metroparks we frequent often! It has a nice trail along the river, a sleek nature center, tranquil wetland habitat, outdoor rock climbing, and volleyball courts.
The place where our love started as two undergraduate students. We recommend a walk through campus to view "The Shoe" (The football stadium), Thompson Library, the Oval, University Hall, and the Union. Keep in mind the tradition of the "Long Oval Walk" with your sweetheart. Legend has it that if you make the walk together, hand in hand, while the bells ring and no one crosses your path, you are destined to be together forever! If you are still up for walking through high street, be sure to stop at Buckeye Donuts for a sweet treat.
We have enjoyed a few dates here! The various plants, hand blown glass, and rotating exhibits make for a serene and peaceful morning or afternoon.
We are both animal lovers and enthusiastic about conservation, so naturally we are zoo members. We highly recommend visiting this large zoo and checking out the young elephant, Frankie, before he gets even bigger!
This is another one of Columbus's incredible metroparks and where we took our engagement photos! Take a relaxing stroll and appreciate all the beautiful gardens and greenery.
