Things To Do

While the main event of the weekend is on Saturday, we encourage you to explore the city where our love started if time allows. Here are some of our favorite places to visit in Columbus.

German Village

Columbus, OH

Cute, trendy neighborhood in Columbus. Where the church is located. Feel free to visit some of our favorite spots! 1) Stauf's Coffee Roasters 2) The Book Loft of German Village 3) Pistacia Vera 4) Lindeys 5) Fox in the Snow Cafe

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 West Whittier Street, Columbus, OH 43215

One of the metroparks we frequent often! It has a nice trail along the river, a sleek nature center, tranquil wetland habitat, outdoor rock climbing, and volleyball courts.

The Ohio State University

281 West Lane Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210

The place where our love started as two undergraduate students. We recommend a walk through campus to view "The Shoe" (The football stadium), Thompson Library, the Oval, University Hall, and the Union. Keep in mind the tradition of the "Long Oval Walk" with your sweetheart. Legend has it that if you make the walk together, hand in hand, while the bells ring and no one crosses your path, you are destined to be together forever! If you are still up for walking through high street, be sure to stop at Buckeye Donuts for a sweet treat.

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

1777 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43203

We have enjoyed a few dates here! The various plants, hand blown glass, and rotating exhibits make for a serene and peaceful morning or afternoon.

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

4850 West Powell Road, Powell, OH 43065

We are both animal lovers and enthusiastic about conservation, so naturally we are zoo members. We highly recommend visiting this large zoo and checking out the young elephant, Frankie, before he gets even bigger!

Inniswood Metro Gardens

940 South Hempstead Road, Westerville, OH 43081

This is another one of Columbus's incredible metroparks and where we took our engagement photos! Take a relaxing stroll and appreciate all the beautiful gardens and greenery.

Short North Arts District

Columbus, OH

A fun place to go for dinner or a night out! Feel free to check out some of our favorite spots or find a new place of your own. Restaurants 1) The Rossi Kitchen and Bar 2) Del Mar SoCal Kitchen 3) North Star Cafe Breweries and Bars 1) BrewDog 2) Bodega 3) Standard Hall 4) Seesaw Kitchen and Bar
