It all started in 8th grade. Elizabeth was quiet, shy, a theater nerd...while Howell was funny, outgoing, athletic. Howell had a crush on Elizabeth, but she was too shy to notice. When high school started, Elizabeth and Howell starting hanging out with the same group of friends - bowling, the town pool, bike rides, neighborhood walks. The summer going into sophomore year, they spent quality time together on Lake George. That's where Elizabeth developed a crush for Howell. Later that summer, Howell asked Elizabeth to get ice cream at Toll Gate...on a date. At the end of the date, Howell asked Elizabeth to be his girlfriend, and the rest was history!

Every winter, Elizabeth and Howell spend a weekend up on Lake George and "rough it." Since the house is shut down, they bring up water, food, build a fire to stay warm and play games. This year, they went up with their friends Kelsey & Ethan. They decided to go on a relaxing sunset hike and little did they know, they'd be trudging through two feet of fresh snow the whole way up. Exhausted, Elizabeth was catching her breath at the top of Inspiration Point overlooking the lake. Howell strategically was trailing behind. When he made it to the top, he came up behind Elizabeth and their dog Stevie, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him and be his best friend forever. It was an easy yes!
