We can't wait to celebrate with you in just a few short weeks.
Scott and I met in college where we were in the same friend group for years. The year after we graduated, we spent more time together, grew closer and fell in love. We dated 2013-2014 before breaking up - turns out we both had some growing up to do - but we still had love for each other and stayed in touch. It was a rocky path forward, but we eventually found our way and reconnected for good at the end of 2019.
We live together with our two dogs, Keg and Murphy. (They are the 'goodest' boys, despite what Scott says.) Our date nights are usually some combination of going out to restaurants - we have a slight obsession with hibachi and crab boils (on separate occasions) - concerts, movies or staying in with some wine and a puzzle or board game. We also spend as much time as we can down the shore during the summer, which has always been a special place to us. And although we don't like to leave the dogs behind for too long, we enjoy traveling a bit further together too - our latest adventures have been to Mexico and Sedona/Grand Canyon.
While I was getting ready for what I believed to be a friend's concert, Scott secretly decorated our apartment with candles, rose petals and mini marquee letters spelling out "marry me." I walked out of the room to him getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him. I immediately said "yes" and, in the same moment, Murphy jumped on Scott, nearly knocking him over. Keg - always the policeman - scurried over to scold Murphy, and 'zoomies' ensued. It was a moment that perfectly embodied the daily dog circus at our home, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
