Jerzy is thrilled to be officiating the #HooperUnion of Matt and Lindsay. He has known Matt as a friend and colleague for a LONG time, but Lindsay quickly (and easily) became his favorite member of the couple in late 2019 and it hasn’t really been close since. He was Matt’s roommate for fifteen years until Lindsay took Matt off of Jerzy’s hands- for which he will be forever grateful. For the record, Mr. Cowart comes with a no returns policy.

I met Lindsay the day I was born and only a few days later, she asked our parents to send me back to the “baby store.” Fast forward 28 years and we both know she’s really happy they never did that. I met Matt as he was singing Chris Brown's “Freaky Friday," and that's when I knew we’d be friends. Later that night I discovered his passion for tacos..another good sign. My advice for the happy couple? Never stop eating taco (bell) and steer clear of bar fights.

A year and a half after meeting Matt we drove 27 hours straight from Dallas, Texas to Salt Lake City, Utah on New Years Eve to visit another friend we had known for a year and a half. Call it youth, call it actor conservatory camaraderie, call it foolish to drive at night through the plains of Wyoming in a snow storm, regardless of how you spin it, I call it the beginning of a beautiful relationship. And though I loved him as a pilot/copilot, I am so happy he found someone else to share a bathroom with his beard clippings. Love you Matt and Lindsay, so happy for you both!

Lindsay and I met when we survived a terrible job together, and to date, we’ve never agreed on anything except that we love each other. I met Matt at a Memorial Day party that I hosted with my family. Upon arrival, my mom immediately pulled Lindsay aside and told her that Matt was the one... and they had only been dating for two weeks. My advice to the happy couple: Listen to my mother.

Years ago, I randomly sublet a room in Matt’s apartment through a mutual friend, Jerzy. We were both in our mid twenties. Somehow we made it out alive and he’s been stuck with me ever since. I couldn’t be happier to be by his side and I’m very excited to celebrate his marriage to Lindsay. My advice? Don’t ever stop making fun of each other. Not in a mean way. Just in a keeping everyone’s feet on the ground way. And try not to go to bed angry.

I met Lindsay in college when we studied abroad together. She slept-walked into my room and kicked me out of bed on the first night. We’ve never looked back. My advice? Lock your bedroom door.

Matt and I met over 15 years ago through a mutual admiration for Rye Manhattans, as well as his sister Lyndsey (my wife). To this day, reliving the annual holiday gatherings over the years are some of my fondest memories. So happy that Lindsay is a permanent fixture in that!  If I have any advice to give:  Slow the game down and enjoy it.

I am Matt's sister and have known Matt for some time. I met Lindsay during a planned family event. If I'm being honest, I didn't have much say in the matter, but now the joke's on Lindsay because she's stuck with us forever. We are ready for more family events with our new sister! My advice for the couple is to always remember you are on the same team!

Matt and I know each other through his sister Molly...because I married her. I am actually very proud to call Matt my brother-in-law. Molly and I have enjoyed so many great visits with Matt and Lindsay whether in New York for Christmas or Fort Lauderdale and Destin to spend some time at the beach in Florida. We are so excited to have Lindsay as a part of the family. Advice for the lovely couple, travel often and never stop dating!

I met Matt when I was only one or two days old, and I met Lindsay at a bar in the West Village about four years ago. I’ll never forget Matt’s text a few months after dating Lindsay - “so, the girl I’m dating is a crazy cat lady,” which was followed by countless pictures of Winnie. And that’s when I realized…. Matt is a crazy cat guy. My advice to the happy couple: despite what you may think, cat furniture does NOT go with your apartment decor.

Jonah will be 7 on Valentines Day and is Matt's nephew. Jonah likes to play baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, soccer and does jujitsu. He loves board games and playing charades. Jonah's advice for the key to happiness for Matt and Lindsay: "Do fun things like go to movies and get another cat!"

Lindsay and I met when one of us spotted the other walking across the quad in college and immediately thought "I have to know this person", we were that striking... But our friendship grew through an 8 year attempt to try every single bar in New York City. I knew almost everything about Matt before we actually met, and I've liked him from the first time at Ethyl's. My Advice: No Drama at your neighborhood spots!

Eva is 3 years old and is Matt's niece. She loves her friends at school and her ballet class! She equally loves playing with her Peppa Pig set and dressing up as Doc McStuffins. Eva's advice for the key to happiness for Matt and Lindsay: "Eat lots of treats!!"

Dylan Barker is five years old and her mom, Alex, grew up with Lindsay. Dylan loves all things rainbows, princesses, and unicorns. She likes playing with her friends at school and swinging on the monkey bars. Dylan’s advice to Lindsay and Matt: “Now that you are married, you should have babies and I will play with them."

Milo Barker will be three in December and his mom, Alex, grew up with Lindsay. Milo loves playing with Magna-tiles to build towers and ‘cakes’. He also likes playing with his big sister, Dylan, and watching Bluey. Milo’s advice to Lindsay and Matt: “They should be eating food, coloring, and have a dog. They should take a haircut.”
