Travel Note
Because several of our guests are high-risk for COVID, we are asking that any unvaccinated guests receive a negative test result 24-48 hours before the wedding. At home tests are a-ok with us, and if you need help testing, just let us know! PLEASE NOTE: The city's KEY2NYC guidelines have been lifted! Indoor venues and restaurants are no longer required to ask for proof of vaccination from guests. It is now up to the individual business to decide, and none of the wedding venues will be asking for proof of vaccination. You'll still want to travel with your proof of vaccination, though, as some places (Broadway shows, some restaurants) may still ask to see your vaccine card. Visit the link below for the latest on the NYC guidelines. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Matt & Lindsay directly.
Flight
NYC has tons of airports, but Laguardia (LGA) is definitely the easiest for domestic flights and is only a short taxi or Uber ride from the hotels in Astoria and Midtown Manhattan. Expect to pay around $20-25 for a taxi to Astoria, and around $45 for a taxi into Midtown. JFK is your next best option, just expect to pay a little more in cab fare, and depending on the time of day you arrive / depart, it can take up to 1 hour and 30 minutes to get into or out of Midtown because of traffic. Last AND least is Newark (EWR)-- expect to pay over $100 for a taxi or Uber. You can take NJ Transit from Newark into Penn Station (in Midtown Manhattan), but train times vary so please look them up in advance! If Newark is your best bet, airfare-wise or timing-wise, reach out to Matt or Lindsay and they can help talk you through the best ways to get there and back!

Prefer to stay in Manhattan while you're here? Go for it! Below is a list of our top recommendations, or you can use a website like hotels.com to find the best deal. Our advice? Make sure to book a place in Midtown (between 40th St and 59th St) and somewhere that's close to the subway. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Lindsay or Matt! OUR PICKS Park Central Hotel (870 7th Ave @ 55th St) Renaissance Times Square ( 714 7th Avenue @ 48th St) New York Marriott Marquis (1535 Broadway @ 46th St) New York Hilton Midtown (1335 6th Ave @ 53rd St)
House Or Rental
Not the hotel type? Prefer an Airbnb or VRBO? Go for it! Just run it by Matt & Lindsay before you book so we can make sure you're in a good neighborhood with easy access to the wedding festivities. And if you're traveling alone, there is even an affordable Airbnb in Matt & Lindsay's building! Contact M & L for details.
Train
The NYC Subway system is a great way to get around! The venue is conveniently located right off the last stop of the N/W line, which is the train that Lindsay & Matt take to get pretty much anywhere in the city. Just take a Queens bound N or W train to the last stop: Astoria - Ditmars Boulevard. The venue is a short 3 minute walk from the train station. We recommend using Google Maps or Apple Maps while you're here-- both have realtime train information with estimated walking and travel times. They are super useful for getting around town! PLEASE NOTE: Masks are required on all New York City public transport.
Rental Car
DO NOT RENT A CAR!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! If you don't already have them, download Uber and Lyft on your phone. Need to get somewhere? Just open the apps, type in the address, and check the price! We recommend getting both apps and comparing the cost-- sometimes using one or the other can be big savings!
