Question

What does international travel look like with COVID-19?

Answer

UPDATED JULY 22 You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to enter Canada as a tourist (please note children under 12 years of age are NOT required to be vaccinated). However, as of April 1, you no longer need to take a pre-entry Covid test, regardless of whether you drive or fly. Before entering Canada, you must download and fill out the ArriveCAN app with your travel details, as well as a photo of your vaccination card. The app will ask you for your quarantine location - you *won't* need to actually quarantine, it's just where you would quarantine if needed; put the address of the hotel or house you're staying at. You should fill out the app before leaving (although you can't finish filling it out until 24 hours before you will arrive). If you're flying, you'll go through customs in the first airport you fly into in Canada. You may be randomly selected for a Covid test, but not everyone is selected (If you're connecting, they might allow you to take a test kit and test at your final destination). Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Thursday September 1, 2022. Please RSVP and make menu selections for our Reception Dinner following our Ceremony on Saturday October 8th, 2022.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be there at 3:30pm sharp! The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00pm

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The official dress code is Black Tie for both the Ceremony and Reception. For women think floor length gowns and for men think Tuxedos.

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Where should we park for the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend trying to taxi or carpool as downtown Calgary can be busy on a Saturday afternoon. However, there is ample on-street parking along both sides of 5th Avenue SW, on the south side of 6th Avenue SW, and on the west side of 4th Street SW. Parking is free on Sundays, weekdays after 6pm, and major statutory holidays. Please read the signs carefully.

Question

Where should we park for the reception?

Answer

The Ranchmen's Club has some underground parking for guests and there is also street parking along 13 avenue. We would again recommend carpooling and taxing as much as possible to avoid any issues.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We ask that for the ceremony this be a technology free time. We have hired wonderful photographers who will be capturing this special time for us. However for the reception yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #weddingawilliamson so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
