After a few months of banter back and forth Christopher finally asked Honora out on their first date and oh what a date it was! All the stoppers came out and Christopher took Honora to Texas De Brazil in Houston. However, the first stop was at his Aunt Angie where Honora was immediately introduced to his mother and the rest of the family. Christopher then whisked her off for for a wonderful dinner followed by a free dessert as he announced to the waiter as they walked in that it was their first anniversary. After dinner they were walking down the Memorial streets looking for a place to grab a quick nightcap when they were approached by a security guard asking if one of them was the owner of the black and gold dodge dually. As it had turned out someone had broken into Christopher's truck stolen his pistol and then proceeded to shoot at a police officer. To say the least, it was an eventful evening and Honora decided that kind of adventure was something she wanted to stick around for.

This was quite the surprise! Honora had planned a romantic weekend away in Banff as an early Birthday present for Christopher. After a phenomenal weekend of skiing and eating fantastic food, Christopher suggested that they take the long way home which Honora immediately complained about as they needed to get home and feed the horses. After some cajoling he convinced her the beautiful drive would be worth it. They stopped at Preachers Point on Abraham lake and Christopher suggested they take a picture. Since there was no one else around he put the camera on video and went to stand beside her to "take the picture". He then got down on one knee and proposed in one of the most picturesque and romantic spots in the country. It was perfect and the rest as they say is history.
