Here are some frequently asked questions and helpful tips. Have a question that's not on here? No problem. Reach out to Holly (785-224-1692) or Logan (901-485-5321) to get some clarity. We kindly request to ask only urgent questions after December 1st.
Question

What is the dress code? What is the dress code?

Answer

This event is Beach Elegant. Think flowy dresses and lightweight suits (ties optional) – we can't wait to see you by the sea. Sunglasses are encouraged! All we ask is no jeans and no white dresses, please.

Question

What shoes should I wear? What shoes should I wear?

Answer

Wear whatever your heart desires, dancing is encouraged! Ladies, we recommend wearing shoes that are comfortable to walk near sand and seashell/gravel in, such as wedges, sandals, block heels, etc. You may want to remove your shoes on the beach for the (optional) sunset toast prior to cocktail hour.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony? What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to find parking (it can be tough on island). There is a parking lot on site with handicap spots next to the building.

Question

Will the wedding take place outdoors or indoors? Will the wedding take place outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be indoors at the Chapel By the Sea. There will be an outdoor (beach front) sunset toast before cocktail hour begins at Tween Waters Old Captiva House. The reception is also indoors with an outdoor patio.

Question

How does parking work? How does parking work?

Answer

Parking is available at both the Chapel By the Sea and Tween Waters. They are .7 miles apart.

Question

What should I bring to Florida? What should I bring to Florida?

Answer

The weather in December is typically mid to upper 70s and low 80s (perfect for the bride). Evenings can get cool so bring a light jacket or wrap. Southwest Florida is no stranger to rain showers so don't forget a rain shell or umbrella. We also recommend packing some travel sunscreen (the sun in strong!), travel bug spray (no-see-ums are no joke!), sunglasses, swimsuit and a hat!

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can't attend, please indicate your regrets on the RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly. We appreciate the heads up!
