The High Life Lounge

Visit the High Life Lounge (connected to El Bait Shop), where the decor, food and beers are all straight out of the 60's and 70's. Known for its bacon wrapped jalapeño tots from man vs food or come to get other homestyle food. This is a .7 mile walk from Staybridge suites

El Bait Shop

Come visit El Bait shop (connected to high life lounge) with 180 beer taps you're bound to find something you love. Nice chill local spot. This is a .7 mile walk from Staybridge Suites.

Center Street Bridge

1/2 mile walk from Staybridge suites, take a walk across the large center street bridge. Also check out the Chinese Pagoda (Robert D. Ray Asian Garden) while you're there, located NE of the bridge.

State Historical Museum of Iowa

Take a walk to the rooftop of the state historical building to get a nice view of the city and state capitol. Or take a tour visit during the day when it's open.

Grays Lake

Take a nice 2 mile walk around Grays lake. Located about 2.5 miles from Staybridge Suites. There is a nice long bridge over the lake that is lit at night. There is also waterworks park across the street to take a wander in nature.

Des Moines Water Works Park

located close to Grays Lake park. Fun to take a nice stroll in nature.

Pappajohn Sculpture Park

Fun photo ops in the downtown sculpture garden. There is a starbucks nearby to grab a coffee or cold drink.
