We're getting married at the base of Spruce Mountain, which has a great 8.5 mile loop you can hike. Beautiful views, plenty of shade, and low-to-medium intensity hiking.
Crowded, but one of the most beautiful places for low intensity hikes in the area. A trip to Colorado Springs is not complete without seeing this beautiful park.
The tallest mountain in Colorado has the most stunning views in the whole country (in our humble opinions). Ways to Enjoy the Mountain: (1) The Cog Railway to the Summit will be back in service this summer, but they recommend making a reservation in advance. (2) You can drive to the summit as well, but there is a charge per person to do so. Please note that the drive to the summit can be tricky if you are not used to driving up and down tall mountains. (3) The hike to the summit via Barr trail is a 13 mile trip. If you are interested in hiking Pikes Peak, please talk to us first, so that we can ensure you have all of the necessary health and safety information!
Great for hiking! Some of our favorite hikes include: - Seven Bridges - St. Mary's Falls - Mt. Muscoco
If you need a relaxing afternoon, bring the family to Palmer Lake for swimming, short walks, and relaxation.
Probably the highest altitude zoo you'll ever visit. While it can't compare to the OG Zoo, the Omaha Zoo (come visit us!!!), it is a really well done, humane zoo and a great place to visit whether you came with your family or not.
The hour's drive up to Denver is worth it for these beautiful gardens alone.
A gorgeous park with an iconic amphitheater where you can check out a cool concert if you have a few extra days.
Downtown Colorado Spring is full of shops, restaurants, and small parks. Make sure to stop by Poor Richard's Bookstore for lunch and souvenirs while you are there!
The bustling, energetic heart of Denver, perfect for a first time visitor. It's a fun place to stroll through, even if the shops and restaurants are all a little overpriced.
When you're done checking out Pikes Peak or the Garden of Gods, make sure to stop in Manitou Springs for some lunch, shopping, and weird-tasting water.
A small, historic Colorado town. It's a great place to spend a day shopping!
Julie and Holden's favorite restaurant in the Colorado Springs area. Simple but delicious pizzas, sandwiches, and a chocolate cake to die for.
Arlene is catering our Rehearsal Dinner. If you can't get enough of her delicious Mexican food, check out her restaurant for lunch or dinner!
