COVID-19 Updates

We will keep this page updated with our current plans to keep our loved ones safe from COVID-19 at our wedding.
Question

So... What is the plan?

Answer

Currently, the wedding is scheduled to go on as planned! We are closely monitoring COVID-19 numbers, vaccination rates, Colorado regulations, and CDC guidelines. The health and safety of our friends and family is our top priority, so should there be an extreme change in the risks associated with traveling to and properly celebrating our wedding, we will postpone the wedding to 2022 and send out "change the dates." However, given that all adults in the US are now eligible to receive a vaccine, we do not anticipate postponing. We can't wait to celebrate with you all in July!

Question

Will vaccines be required to attend?

Answer

We have not yet made a final decision on this. As of now, they will be strongly encouraged, and your RSVP will include a place to indicate whether or not everyone in your party will be vaccinated with enough time for the full CDC-recommended waiting period to elapse (currently 2 weeks after the second Pfizer and Moderna dose or the single Johnson & Johnson dose). If you indicate that anyone over 16 in your party will NOT be fully vaccinated by July 24, we will reach out to discuss additional precautions we would request that you take - these may include social distancing, masks, rapid tests, etc.

Question

What safety precautions will be in place for the wedding?

Answer

The health and safety of our friends and family is our top priority, and we have no interest in hosting a super-spreader event. We expect that all--or nearly all--adults attending our wedding will be fully vaccinated. There will be a place on the RSVP form to indicate your vaccination status, and we will personally reach out to any guests who indicate they will not be vaccinated to discuss additional precautions that we would like for them to take. Our venue is an indoor/outdoor space. The ceremony will take place outside, and the cocktail hour and receptions will take place in indoor/outdoor spaces that allow for entire walls to be opened up to enjoy the fresh Colorado air. This means that dancing will take place outside, under the stars and full moon! Finally, masks and hand sanitizer will be available for all guests who wish to use them throughout the day.
