Flight
With regular flights from Washington DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Orlando, and Philadelphia, the Roanoke Airport is a great option.
Travel Note
The Roanoke Airport has several options available for getting around, including cabs, rental cars, and shuttles. If you don't plan on exploring beyond the Downtown area or driving yourself to the venue, you probably won't need a rental car.
Train
If flying into Roanoke is a bit out of reach, Amtrak runs right to downtown! With daily trips between Roanoke and Washington, DC, you'll have no trouble making into the city.
Travel Note
If you're not too far away, driving is definitely a good option for getting here. If you want to take the most direct route, I-81 is your best bet; however, if you have the time, we recommend taking a drive along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, which passes right by Roanoke.
Travel Note
Parking can often be a painful experience, but Downtown Roanoke has plenty of inexpensive options for you to choose from. Speaking from personal experience, we strongly recommend parking in the Tower Garage, located next to the Taubman Museum of Art. Visit the website below for rates:
