As she was headed down the stairs in her Virginia Tech dorm, Elizabeth challenged her hallmate to see whether the stairs or elevator was faster. When they arrived downstairs at the same time, Elizabeth casually commented so. Coincidentally in the elevator, Tyler awkwardly responded to Elizabeth’s comment to her hallmate, which somehow started a conversation. Our conversation turned into eight years of bonding over a shared connection to Judaism, enjoying the nature of the New River Valley, laboring over coursework, and parenting our cats (Rhea and Kitkat). We’re so glad to welcome you to what’s been our home for so many years to celebrate our wedding!
After months of somehow keeping his proposal plan a secret, Tyler chose a drizzly day in January to insist on a walk. True to self, he chose the most cliché place - the Virginia Tech duck pond. Elizabeth, grateful for her study break, was totally oblivious when Tyler wanted to stop in the gazebo to look at the fish. After turning around to find Tyler with ring in hand, a very surprised and confused Elizabeth happily said, “Uh, yes?!! I thought you were waiting until the spring?”
