Jamie and Jared met circa 2008 playing World of Warcraft. Jared was (is?) crass and immature and caused Jamie to mute him on numerous occasions. They stayed in touch over Facebook long after they left the game, eventually realized that each other wasn't nearly as obnoxious as they thought, and summer of 2014 decided it was time to meet. Jared thinks Jamie moved to Oregon in 2015 for him, but the truth was Minnesota was cold and lacked a viable ocean. Now she has it all- beautiful ocean, favorable climate, amazing local wines, gorgeous mountain views...and handsome man.

Aside from the story itself, meeting Jamie was one of those “when you know, you know”. I was bragging to all my friends about how lucky I was to have found such a wonderful, amazing, smart woman that is just as gorgeous in her brains as she is her style! Never in a million years did I expect to be in the arms of someone even a fraction of Jamie’s amazingness. From the first time she visited and we went on a trip to the coast, to this very morning writing this, I am still in awe of how our paths crossed in such a way, the stars aligned, the gods willed, and the odds turned to what they did... being excited for the future is a mere understatement.

....no seriously though. When you meet someone who not only tolerates your weird, but encourages it and joins you in it, you know you're with your person. Jared is very obviously my person. :)
