FAQs

If you have additional questions, please contact us at idobaumhartyou@gmail.com.
Question

Should I be vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to the wedding to attend?

Answer

Yes, please! We want all of our guests to be safe, so please plan on being fully vaccinated prior to the wedding weekend. It’s our intent to have a safe space for our close family and friends to celebrate and that is why we are keeping our event very small, encouraging safe practices (all resort staff and vendor staff will be masked), and asking all guests to get fully vaccinated. If vaccination is not an option for you, we will miss you at the wedding and respect your decision to not attend our wedding.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 25, 2021. We recommend you book accommodations before June for the best prices and peace of mind.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Check out our registry page on this website.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you have "guest" on your invitation or we have written your guest's name on the invitation, then you are welcome to bring a guest.

Question

Are children included in the wedding festivities?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have limited our guests to those listed on your wedding invitation. If you have questions, please let us know.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions on your RSVP and we will accomodate your request.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is beach formal for the ceremony and reception, be sure to wear shoes that you can slip off for the beach or shoes that do well on sand. For all other events, go to our schedule page and we have listed the dress code by event. We have explained beach formal in a separate question below.

Question

When should I come in for the wedding?

Answer

We recommend coming in on Friday as traffic can be variable. We will also be hosting a welcome party for all guests on Friday evening. If you have a role in the wedding or are attending other events, we will let you know an earlier date to arrive.

Question

What is beach formal?

Answer

For women: A dress, suit, or jumpsuit all work for a beach formal wedding. Opt for solid, lighter colors (avoiding black, cream, and white) and breathable fabrics. Tea-length dresses and jumpsuits are acceptable for beach formal attire. To up the elegance, wear a fabric such as metallic or lace. Since stilettos are a hazard on the sand, wear a chunky heel or formal sandals. Consider bringing a formal pair of heels for the reception if it’s not on the beach. For men: Wear either a suit or a long-sleeved shirt and tie with a jacket and slacks. Opt for solid colors, avoiding black, cream, and white—a summer suit is a perfect solution. Consider a breathable fabric such as linen, khaki, or seersucker. Dress shoes or a nice pair of shoes that compliment the slacks are required. Shorts and sandals are not permitted. Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that you stay on property at the Sanderling Resort, where we have secured a room block, or in a rental home in the Sanderling neighborhood which is walking distance from the weekend festivities. There are other rental homes and hotels down the street. Our biggest piece of advice is to book early! For transportation, we have posted taxi companies on our travel page (Uber is not popular in the area). We do note that they take up to 30 minutes sometimes to arrive, so call ahead.
