Flight
We recommend flying into San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO). Make sure you aren’t booking a flight to California by mistake. Manuel Antonio is about 3 hours outside of the city. If your flight will be arriving to late to make the drive please reach out to me or John and we can assist you with making reservations to spend the night in San Jose before traveling to the coast.
Hotel
I’m asking all my guests to please consider staying at the hotel where we are hosting the wedding. It is a beautiful place and will make for a stress free experience. I also need at least 50% of my guests to stay at the hotel to fulfill my contract. Your digital invitations should have included a document showing all the available rooms, their rates and how to reserve a room with our special rate. go to the hotel website: https://lamariposa.com/hotelcostarica/ and book the room online. Please make sure to mention the wedding guest code in the note box so the special rate can be applied after we receive the confirmation of reservation.

Travel Note
If you have never driven outside of the United States we would recommend using a transportation service to and from the airport. Once you are at La Mariposa Hotel you most likely won’t need to go anywhere else but services like Uber are available. Manuel Anotonio is a very touristy spot. If you are interested in setting up transportation please reach out to us directly and John will assist you with creating a reservation. He does this all the time for the ministry so he is an expert. 😉
Rental Car
If you are feeling up for driving in Costa Rica we recommend using Economy. We have rented a vehicle from them and they were a great value and used to serving Americans.
