We suggest formal evening wear. This would include a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit for women and something with a jacket and tie for men whether this be suit, tuxedo or blazer. We are not having bridesmaids or groomsmen, so no need to worry that you'll be stealing their look.
Generally, warm. Average temperatures range from a low of 72F to a high of 86F this time of year. However, it can get as low as the 60s at night and as high as the 90s in the daytime. October also falls within hurricane season, so while we are crossing our fingers to avoid this, we still recommend being prepared for rain showers.
The ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to occur outdoors, but there is a nearby back up indoor location for both at Omni Resort. The reception will occur indoors at the Grand Salon at Omni Resort.
Given that our son, John, will be in attendance for part of the wedding, we want to invite you to bring your own children if you so choose. Please just let us know if you do plan to bring your kiddos so we can plan accordingly for their seating and food if needed. If the wedding is a little past their bedtime, Orlando has many baby sitting services to facilitate making this a parents' night out.
While we request you do not bring your beloved pet to the wedding itself, many Orlando hotels are indeed pet friendly (including the Omni Resort) for an additional fee.
Please see details on this under the "Travel" section.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, but should you like to honor us with a gift a contribution towards our future together would be sincerely appreciated. We have set up a registry through Zola with gift card and cash fund options payable via Venmo and credit card if you would prefer to use this rather than physical cash or checks.
