How We Met

First comes Shakespeare.... than comes Marriage

We met 17 years ago when we both were cast in a summer stock production of "Macbeth" at Shakepeare in Delaware Park-- as you do, when you are theatre majors in college. He remembered her being "kind" and she remembered his "dashing, yet intimidating goatee". Both went their separate ways for another decade, and yet they both ended up in New York City pursuing a career in Film and TV. After re-connecting 15 years later over a friendly lunch in Soho, he still thought she was "kind" and witty. She thought he was awfully charismatic, and how wonderfully easy their rapport was. Over the next few months, we swapped late night car rides home as well as dating advice, and eventually decided we no longer wanted to keep each other in the friend zone. Hilary is most grateful that her impulsive move to kiss James on his birthday didn't backfire. And then everything got awesome. We could not be more excited to honor and celebrate this next step in our journey with each of you, who have played (and will continue to play) such an important part in our adventure!

The Elopement

To wait? Or, not to wait? That was the question

Let's face it: Traditional wedding planning can be daunting... especially when you're BOTH artists (while also having a penchant for auspicious numerology). We were so excited to say "I do", and 18 months of planning seemed much too long to wait. After alerting close family and friends of our decision, we decided a low-key destination ceremony and honeymoon in Kauai would be best for us. A long awaited vacation-turned- elopement became the perfect backdrop for an idyllic and intimate wedding ceremony. With the help of a few local island friends, we said our vows on the Summer Solstice under the majestic shade of a beautiful old Monkey Pod Tree, and celebrated the start of our newest adventure with fine food and revelry under the stars.

PART DEUX WITH YOU

1 year later......

What better way to celebrate our 1 year anniversary of this momentous occasion than with all of you!? The beautiful hearts and souls from across the globe who have shaped us into who we are today. Thank you for being here in our hometown of Buffalo, New York to party with us!
