Maid of Honor
A proud Montanan from Butte, Jess now calls Bozeman home. As a frequent traveler, keeping track of her travels is tricky, unless you have her location (like Katherine does). Their friendship began during a semester-long economics project, and since then, Jess has been a steady influence, always telling Katherine what she needs to hear. Before Katherine moved to Colorado, they lived just a half-mile apart, spending countless hours watching TV and bonding over their love of books.
Ian Durnford
Best Man
Ian and Nic first met while neighbors in college and quickly became close friends, bonding over their Electrical Engineering studies and shared love of the outdoors. Their friendship solidified during various shenanigans, including moving a motorcycle into an 8th-floor dorm room. Their bond remained strong over the years, even leading them to buy and renovate a house together in Bozeman. Now, Ian lives in Snohomish, Washington, with his girlfriend, Alison, and their dog, Arlo.
Jess Meras

Hailing from the Bay Area, Jess Meras now teaches in LA. She and Katherine met through Pi Beta Phi and became friends when Jess took it upon herself to keep Katherine awake and caffeinated for their sophomore-year Nutrition class. Always the one to remind Katherine not to take life too seriously, she never fails to bring out her signature cackle. Now, they keep in touch through weekly photo “drops."
Collin Sommer
Groomsman
Collin was introduced to Nicholas through Clayton, and with their shared love of cars, it didn’t take long for them to become friends. Though he now lives in Bozeman with his wife, Jessica, Collin is a true Wisconsinite at heart. Whatever you do, don’t get him started on Tillamook cheese. Trust us on that one. He was a constant presence in all the guys’ adventures during their time in Bozeman.
Emily Moran
Bridesmaid
Emily and Nic have been friends since freshman year, thanks to Collin’s now-wife, Jessica (yes, another one). She and Katherine quickly bonded over their love of cats (one could say obsession) and mutual frustration with the guys’ chronic tardiness. Like Collin, Emily is also a proud Wisconsinite. Now, even with Emily in Helena, her and Katherine always yapping away about anything and everything.
Ethan Rumberg
Groomsman
Nicholas met Ethan freshman year through his roommate, and they quickly bonded over their love of cars, Nicholas even helped him work on his first motorcycle. Along with the guys, they spent countless hours hiking, where Ethan’s goat-like agility always put him ahead of the pack. Besides Ian, Ethan was Nicholas' longest roommate in Bozeman; he often liked to vex Katherine by putting his chocolate in the ice dispenser.
Allison Sisson
Bridesmaid
Allison is another Pi Phi friend. She took Katherine under her wing, as she was a year older. The two lived together for just one year, but it felt much longer since they were inseparable. They spent nearly every moment together, whether at the sorority house, Jabs, or their beloved Johnny Carinos. Now both in Colorado, they’re back at it, with Alli helping keep Katherine sane during wedding planning. If you see her around, be sure to ask about her hot dog Instagram!
Clayton Adcock
Groomsman
As a fellow floor-mate on the eighth floor of South Hedges, Clayton and Nic became fast friends through their shared interests in photography and the financial markets. As another College of Business graduate, Clayton is a refreshing presence for Katherine, offering a break from all the engineering and car talk. Fun fact: Clayton is the only groomsman who hasn’t lived with Nic. A talented landscape photographer, he also captured the beautiful photos of our engagement.
