Matron of Honor
Amelia and Meg met freshman year of college, both suffering through Calculus (Meg still thinks this was more difficult than most of her Accounting courses). They grew a strong bond through late night studying, "working out", and, of course, searching for prince charming. They've stayed in touch despite their demanding work schedules in public accounting where they both found their prince charming esque husbands! Amelia's husband, Dan, and Andrew have also grown close, bonding over Game of Thrones and Ohio University Trivia.
Maid of Honor
Meg *thought* she excelled at time management in High school. Luckily, she met Paige during freshman year of college. Meg was definitely not ready to balance everything that was thrown at her (in addition to the social distractions which were lurking around every corner). Thankfully, Paige helped Meg figure out her priorities, even helping Meg volunteer with an after school program by letting her borrow Paige's car! Meg and Andrew have grown close to Paige and and her fiancé, Jeff, they even made a special trip to Mexico to help Andrew propose!
Bridesmaid
In 2005 Meg made “the move out west” to Ohio, she was joining a small town/tight knit group of girls. It wasn’t until she met Courtney until she really felt comfortable being herself. Courtney is 9 months older than Meg, just like Meg’s “Big brother” in Connecticut, Ian, and they immediately clicked during cross country camps and practices. Little did they know, their friendship would continue to grow for the next 10+ years.
Bridesmaid
Meg heard about Angelina from her friend, Stephanie, while Angelina was rushing their Business Fraternity. She knew that Meg would be able to channel Angelina's energy and help her grow in college. They met on Meg's 19th Birthday, and both had a lot in common, growing to be close friends. Angelina challenges Meg to see her blind spots and Meg helps Ang loosen up a bit. Meg has loved seeing all that Angelina has accomplished in Chicago and can't wait to convince her to move south!
Bridesmaid
Kenzie and Meg met in kindergarten and became close friends through elementary school. Both girl scouts, both church girls and both up for any outdoor activities. Luckily our families were also close; we've been on family vacations together and also shared some of the tough times, growing up together. While Meg moved off to Ohio, Kenzie and Meg still remained close, picking up after college just as time had stood still. Kenzie's husband, Rob and Andrew have also become friends (dealing with these two crazies) and bonding over none else but... golf!
Best Man
Andrew met Matt in 2010 when they were both freshmen at the University of South Carolina. Matt was Andrew's 2nd semester freshmen and senior year roommate. During those times they have shared many adventures like drinking more Miller High Life than is reasonable, losing one of their bests buddies on his 21st birthday to find him 3 hours later in the most obvious place, and never missing a good time.
Best Man
Andrew met Dom in 2011 when he was staying on his dorm floor because he was visiting Matt Peterson. Dom and Andrew are known to have very deep conversations like the definition of a coven or what scares us most (which includes cobras by the way). Dom and Andrew also share similar tastes in music which incidentally caused them to get caught in a monsoon when they felt they need to continue the jam instead of heading for safety.
Groomsman
Nick and Andrew met in 2010 as freshman at the University of South Carolina. They both moved to Charlotte after graduation and have been taking on the queen city ever since. Whether it was brewery hopping, Miller Lites at a dive bar, golf on the weekends, or a casual country concert they have been out to have a good time and will always say yes to a bourbon. Andrew was honored to be a groomsmen in Nick's wedding and still enjoys almost monthly games of golf together.
Groomsman
Andrew met Matt in 2012 at the University of South Carolina when he was living with some of Matt's fraternity brothers. Matt instantly sized up Andrew as an XL and asked if he could borrow a shirt because he was sweating so bad in the Columbia heat (and you can't ruin the going out shirt). He then asked if Andrew was hungry and suggested that they have sausage and peppers. Andrew grilled the sausage and Matt made the sauce. That's when the friendship was cemented. After that, Matt and Andrew both ended up in Charlotte where they lived together for a few years and enjoyed numerous chef inspired steak meals with even more moscow mules.
Groomsman
Andrew met Jack in 2015 while at PwC when they were working closely together on a couple of engagements. This is when Jack was trying to aggressively bulk and would drink a half gallon of milk every day along with enough coffee that should short circuit a normal person's nervous system. Meg referred to Jack as Andrews' "Other girlfriend" due to late night texts about audit and business thoughts in general. Andrew is glad to have Jack to help solve important problems.
Officiant
Meg is only child, but Ian is the closet person she has to a sibling. Ian and Meg were neighbors growing up in Connecticut. 9 months apart, Meg and Ian were together every day after school, working on homework and then thinking up something to do; whether it be planning for Halloween costumes, planning a lemonade stand, collecting cans for charity or organizing the neighborhood friends for a game of man-hunt. Every tough time as kids, they worked through together. Meg was ecstatic to meet Ian's girlfriend (now wife, Adrianna) who was down to have fun (but also on Meg's side for needing time to get ready!). Meg introduced Andrew to "the Connecticut family" and they welcomed him with with a barrage of questions and stories. We're looking forward to many more memories together!
