Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Beatriz Castañeda and Henry Price
We are so excited to share Seattle & Bainbridge with you! For guests coming from out of town, we hope you’ll explore the Seattle area if you have the chance. Seattle is a fun city and Pacific Northwest summers are beautiful! Here are a few of our favorite things to do, both in the city and just a short drive away:
Touristy Spots & Seattle Parks

Touristy Spots & Seattle Parks

Seattle, WA

For those visiting Seattle for the first time, we recommend checking out some of the classic tourist spots! The Pike Place Market & Gum Wall: Explore the market, see the famous fish throwing, and then stop by the Gum Wall located right next door. Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass: Get a bird's-eye view of the city from the Space Needle the consider checking out the glass art at the Chihuly Garden. Seattle Parks: Gas Works, Volunteer Park, Discovery Park, and Golden Gardens are some of our favorites.

Seattle Food

Here are a few recommendations to help you navigate the Seattle food scene: Sushi: Our go-to spot is Momiji on Capitol Hill. Sushi Kashiba and Shiro's Sushi are also excellent (reservations highly recommended!). Ramen: Seattle has several great spots for Ramen. Some of our favorites are Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya, Ramen Danbo, and Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. Dick's Drive In: A Seattle staple with great burgers. Try the famous Dick's Deluxe. Seafood: There is plenty of good seafood in Seattle. Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar is a perfect for oysters and shellfish, and Ivars is great for Fish & Chips. Teriyaki & Thai Food: You can't go wrong with either of these two in Seattle! Breweries: Seattle is famous for craft beer! We recommend brewery hopping in the Ballard neighborhood :)

Outdoor Activities & Day Trips

Outdoor Activities & Day Trips

Seattle, WA

Paddle Boarding: For a classic Seattle summer day, we recommend renting a paddle board or kayak on Lake Union. Leavenworth: This Bavarian-style mountain town is about a 2.5 hour drive from Seattle. There a plenty of beautiful hikes nearby and we always recommend a beer at Icicle Brewing or pizza from Blewett Brewing. Day Hikes: There are so many options for great day hikes near Seattle. Some of our favorites are Colchuck Lake, Lake Ingalls, Skyline Loop Trail, Mount Dickerman, and Kendall Katwalk. Check out wta.org to for more information. Mariners Games: Summer games are always fun. Go M's! National Parks: Washington is home to three of our favorite national parks: Mount Rainier National Park, North Cascades National Park, and Olympic National Park. If you are staying on Bainbridge Island and have extra time, we recommend a day trip to Olympic National Park. If you are staying in Seattle, Mount Rainer National Park and North Cascades National Park are fantastic.
