We’re getting married!

It was a fateful night in Boulder Colorado, Anna's college friend Stacey was in town visiting and Dave was playing pool with his college friend Brian. Anna and Stacey had decided to visit all their favorite hangouts, and after a classic stop at Half Fast and The Rio they ended up at the Sundown Saloon on Pearl Street. Brian and Dave were a few games into a night of pool when Dave couldn't help but notice Anna across the room of The Sun Down Saloon. Dave asked Brian to wingman (prepping him for future best man duties) and instantly hit it off with Anna. Despite Dave’s best efforts to make it a proper date, Anna kept insisting on a more of a “meetup" at La Revolucion in Louisville. After a good first "meetup", Dave made sure to tell Anna that the next time he would take her out on a "real date" and would pick her up and drive her to dinner. A week or so later he picked her up and took her to Avery, where they had an amazing dinner and the connection was impossible to deny! Dave kept the brochure from the brewery they toured after dinner because he knew how special the night was. And so did Anna, because she soon called Dave from New York hoping to make their relationship official. After that everything fell into place, falling in love, moving in together, and growing into the incredible life partners you know today. Anna still insists that their first date was at La Revolucion but Dave says it was at Avery, you can be the judge!

2017 - Traveled to South East Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand) 2018 - Bought their first home in Denver 2019 - Traveled to Europe (Hungary, Croatia and England) 2020 - Moved to Tahoe California during Covid for skiing 2021 - Dave proposed to Anna in Napa California! 2022 - Tying the Knot!

Dave was born in Livermore, California but moved to Ann Arbor when he was 6 and stayed there throughout high school. Ann Arbor was a great place to grow up and Dave had many fun nights exploring the town with friends and going to the Big House for football games with his Dad. Every year the family would return to Tahoe for a few weeks to ski and taught Dave to love the sport from a young age. He starting playing rugby in high school and got the opportunity to play for one of the oldest collegiate clubs in the country at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign while studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. After graduation, Dave started working in Champaign for an Engineering company based in Boulder and knew it was fate. Less than two years later he had worked his way into a new position at the headquarters and moved next to world class skiing with his 1 year old dog Weekapaug - soon to meet Anna in the very same town.

Anna was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado where she was able to enjoy all the beautiful Rocky Mountain's have to offer. Anna attended the University of Colorado for her undergraduate degree. After graduation, she moved to Madrid Spain where she taught English in an elementary school. She loved living in Europe and was able to travel quite a bit and experience many different countries and cultures. After living in Spain, Anna returned to Colorado for graduate school and met Dave only a month later! They instantly hit it off but she wasn't quite done working abroad and taught in Hanoi Vietnam that summer. Dave visited her in Vietnam and they traveled throughout South East Asia. Anna later graduated from the University of Denver with a Masters in Social Work and Organizational Leadership and Policy. Anna now works in Denver for the Colorado Family Resource Center Association.
