Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Alison Martin

Bride

Ali never dreamed she would meet her husband less than one month into moving to Alabama. In fact, it made her a little scared entering into a relationship after just recently going through such a big move. Turns out saying yes to a first date with Austin was the best decision she has ever made! Ali recently achieved her goal of graduating from the University of Alabama with a Master's in Social Work. She has spent the last 2 years paying her way through school working for a local bakery while juggling school and a full-time internship. Ali can eat her weight in ice cream, loves everything about summer (except mosquitos), and will go to a Royals baseball game any day of the week!

Austin Hallman

Groom

Austin can't wait to marry Ali! Just like Ali saying yes to going on a date with Austin was the best decision of her life, Austin asking her on a date is second to only asking her to marry him! Austin grew up as a die-hard Alabama football fan, so you'll hear plenty of 'Roll Tides' yelled at the wedding and, of course, Dixieland Delight will definitely be played at the reception. Austin graduated from the University of Alabama in 2017 with a degree in business marketing. Austin tends to try and juggle many things, but currently, he's sticking to juggling student ministry, digital marketing, and Ali.

Holly Sheppard

Matron of Honor

Ali and Holly became the best of friends while hiking in Colorado during their freshman year of college. A little snowstorm and some tired legs from hiking led them to sit down on the side of the mountain and talk for hours. The next four years of college would solidify their friendship through bible studies, coffee, and finishing out their senior year living in the same house as bunk buddies. Postgrad life took Ali and Holly to different parts of the country, yet their friendship has remained strong thanks to modern technology!

Alayna Colburn

Bridesmaid

Alayna (soon to be Dr. Colburn) and Ali met while living together at K-State. Alayna is Ali's ultimate go-to hype girl! She is the best source of encouragement, and never fails to make you believe you can do anything! Ask Alayna how many miles she ran that day and she is bound to give you a crazy number like 20. You can count on Alayna to be the first on the dance floor and the last to leave.

Andrew Clark

Groomsman

Chuck Norris, who sometimes goes by Andrew Clark, and Austin met at community group when Andrew was doing an internship with Mercedes. Austin and Andrew may have raced up a mountain barefoot and shirtless in 20-degree weather and gone for a barefoot run in New Orleans (not their best decision). You may have to watch out, cause there might be a rematch coming. You'll also need to keep your eyes open for Andrew's vibrant pants. You never know when he'll break out the plaid pants.

Erin Greer

Bridesmaid

From high school softball teammates to college roommates, Ali and Erin's friendship has evolved and grown over the years. Erin is the most down to earth and go with the flow friend you will ever have. She will laugh at just about anything with you! Don't watch the Bachelor/ Bachelorette? No worries! Erin will make sure you are always up to date with all happenings with a weekly play by play. P.S. If you ever need brain surgery, Erin is your go-to girl! Erin provides the craziest day to day stories of working as a neurologist physician assistant.

Hunter Hallman

Groomsman

Hunter is Austin's brother that is 6 years younger. Hunter and Austin have always been polar opposites, so much so that they argue frequently over which one is adopted. Where Austin would gladly spend his days in the middle of a city, Hunter would prefer to be in a hunting stand in the woods somewhere. Hunter is the go-to guy at the dinner table when the Hallmans are looking to laugh so hard they're crying. Ask Hunter his favorite story with Austin, and he'll probably show you a scar or two and have you dying from laughter. If you ask Austin his favorites, he'll probably show you his own. Despite their differences, they'll be brothers just the same.

Taylor Hallman

Bridesmaid

Ali, of course, met Taylor when Ali started dating Austin. Taylor is currently at The University of Alabama getting her degree in education. Taylor has been so kind and welcoming as Ali is becoming a part of the Hallman family. Ali first remembers hearing about Taylor the second day Ali was around Austin. One of our friends asked Austin how Taylor was. Without skipping a beat Austin said "she's great. She's one of my favorite people of all time." Taylor is fun, bold, and has given this Kansas girl a few tips on how to navigate the beach.

Ryan Martin

Groomsman

Ryan is Ali's brother, and Austin met Ryan after Austin and Ali had been dating for several months over Christmas break. Ryan is an engineer working with top-secret cars for Chrysler in Detroit, MI. Give Ryan a pair tweezers, some fishing wire, and a AA battery and he'll find a way to build you a car out of it. When Austin and Ryan first met, they went with Ali and Ryan's girlfriend, Rachel, to take a tour of Boulevard Brewing in Kansas City, MO! It turns out Ryan loves making fun of Ali as much as Austin does. Austin and Ali are hoping to travel to Detroit soon to hang out with Ryan and Rachel and go sailing on the Great Lakes!

Carolyn Gatewood

Bridesmaid

Ali and Carolyn crossed paths several times during their time at K-State but didn't become friends until a couple of years after college. Ali and Carolyn became friends through attending the same bible study at their church in downtown KC. Carolyn is an Assistant Dean for the Ewing Marion Kauffman School. Ali has always particularly loved Carolyn's attention to detail within every single relationship she forms whether it is with family, friends, or her students and their families. Ali always loved exploring Kansas City with Carolyn and is one of the things she missed the very most about moving away.

Kevan Momenpour

Groomsman

Austin and Kevan met holding doors for a daddy-daughter dance several years ago, and have been friends since. You shouldn't be surprised to know that a guy who is willing to hold a door for a few hundred little girls and their dads, when he had no daughters of his own at the time, would be one of the most servant-hearted people. Give Kevan about 5 minutes and he'll have you rolling on the floor with cramps in your side from laughter. He genuinely is the funniest person Austin knows! Austin and Ali thank the Lord for Kevan and his wife, Madelyn. Austin and Ali met in their home during small group!

Mary Beth Lynn

Bridesmaid

Ali and Mary Beth's friendship bloomed from working at a retirement community together. This was Ali's first job out of college. Ali was nervous and unsure about life after college, but Mary Beth quickly showed her the ropes. Mary Beth has modeled patience and kindness to Ali and is the ultimate prayer warrior. After both Ali and Mary Beth went to work for different companies, their friendship continued by gathering every Friday and praying together. Mary Beth was the biggest encourager of Ali as she was deciding whether or not to move to Alabama. Austin and Ali are especially grateful to Mary Beth and her brand new job as a travel advisor as she is helping Austin plan their honeymoon (shhh... it's a surprise! Ali won't know where they are going until they arrive at the airport).

Brian Ogden

Groomsman

Austin and Brian met when they were sophomores at the University of Alabama at Safe Haven, their church. Their friendship really began when Austin wouldn't stop asking Brian to come to their small group. Austin and Brian spent many of their college nights together, and several of their afternoons in the rock climbing gym at Alabama. Brian, a native Texan, now lives in Mississippi working for the Mississippi State athletic department. If you keep your eyes peeled during a State event you might peep Brian on the sidelines somewhere. One of the most fun things about Brian is that you won't find a challenge Brian won't take; he is a living, breathing 'hold my beer' meme. So please, don't challenge to anything too crazy at the wedding.

Sarah Morris

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Ali met while spontaneously both deciding to go on a road trip with mutual friends in college. After that, the rest was history. Sarah is the best of both worlds, she is steady and calm while simultaneously being the most competitive person Ali has ever met. Unless you are prepared to lose, avoid playing a game of cards with Sarah. Throughout their friendship, Sarah has been a source of peace and a voice of reason for Ali. No matter how many days go by without seeing each other, Sarah is one of those friends Ali is able to pick back up with without skipping a beat.

Brandon Sinanan

Groomsman

Brandon and Austin met during their college days at Safe Haven, and they've lived together for the last 2 years. Brandon is the man with more nicknames than the WWE, so if you hear anyone shouting cinnamon related things, then it's a safe guess they're looking for this guy. Brandon is an incredibly expressive person, so don't be surprised when you catch him narrating your next Audible read.
