Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception are both at The Hawthorne House. Both will be INSIDE with an opportunity to enjoy the evening on the lawn.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the service?

Answer

If you are staying in a hotel they may provide a shuttle. Check with the concierge to be sure. If not, Kansas City is a very drivable city, and Uber is always an option.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that tie is too tight to dance then feel free to throw them to the side.

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is free and there are plenty of spots around the venue.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We decided not to block off hotel rooms because many of our guests are staying in Airbnbs. Head over to Travel tab and check out a list of recommended hotels and Airbnbs.
