Matron of Honor
Uyen is my older sister and best friend. She's very honest, well-read, but also considerate. Growing up, I always looked up to her since she was always protective about family. Even though we do not live in the same city, she makes sure that her younger siblings (three of us) are doing okay and always find time to call or video chat. Some say that she has humor like "Ali Wong." She has this special talent in imitating others when telling stories and can find ways to make a whole room laugh with her silly jokes. Just ask her for her impression of me. I couldn't be happier to have her stand by my side on my wedding day!
Best Man
We grew up on a farm and ranch together and Bryce will always claim he did all the hard work and heavy lifting.....and he's totally right! My back is still intact and I can still pick up my one houseplant. Thanks Bryce! Truly though, Bryce is hard working and someone who has always been an example of great character to my brothers and I. His words and his actions always align and he is someone I can always go to for advice and help. My respect has only grown for him through the years. It's an honor to have him as my best man. Bryce thrives in the winter and survives in the summer in Arizona with his two young sons and wife, Ashley.
Bridesmaid
Diana is my close cousin and childhood best friend. We grew up in Oklahoma doing everything together, from going to the same school, doing the same sports, and even sharing the same clothes. Anytime I needed someone to hang out or talk to, Diana was always there as a confidante. She is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and always finding ways to give back to others. Whether it's cooking a delicious meal or setting time aside to help in times of need (e.g. she tried on my dress rental when I couldn't make it town), she's a person you can depend on and I would never trade our cousin/friendship for anything else.
Groomsman
Our love for all things sports bonded us a freshman roommates. We both even volunteered to write for our college sports paper. As fans of the TV show, The Office, I hope one day Mark forgives me for listing him in the newspaper as "Assistant to the Sports Editor". Mark is simply a great overall dude who also doesn't like to sit idle. As if he wasn't busy enough being a full-time firefighter-paramedic, Mark and his wife recently purchased a legacy farm to run on their "down time" in Oregon. Meanwhile, I am just trying to keep my one houseplant alive...
Bridesmaid
Michelle is one of my close friends from college and pharmacy school. We happened to be in the same sorority and realized how much we got along through partying together and going on girl's trips. We've shared so many memories on these trips- e.g. eating a curry hot dog in Austin (worst idea ever) or putting food coloring in our shots for St. Patty's Day (not a good choice). Michelle is one of the most laid-back and sweetest people you'll ever meet. She's always considerate of others and also have a creative mind when it comes to art. She even painted me a birthday card which I still have displayed on my fridge. I'm very thankful to have such a wonderful friend like Michelle.
Groomsman
I knew Kevin would be a lifelong friend when he never said "no" to all the late night fast food runs we did in college despite him being on the cross-country team and in ROTC. He still ran shirtless while I wore a lot of sweaters that year. Kevin is a friend I admire for his ability to always listen carefully and attentively to others despite his own in-depth experience and knowledge. You can go from having a good laugh over a drink with Kevin to asking him for his thoughts and knowing its true wisdom. Kevin resides in Georgia with his wife and recently transitioned from the Army to civilian life in which I anticipate, in the near future, he will start wearing four season sweaters.
Bridesmaid
Tovan and I first met each other through a "double-date" in college. Little did she know, I was rushing her to join akdphi sorority - which worked, and we ended up being life-long friends! She is one of those friends where you can pick up the phone and have a conversation that never ends. She is understanding and thoughtful and always looks at the bright side of things. If I ever need advice on anything, Tovan is my go-to person. It's never a full moment with Tovan and I am so happy she will be standing by my side on my wedding day!
Groomsman
David is my youngest brother and my mom forced me to include him as a groomsman. Just kidding! I've watched David grow from almost getting us kicked out of the Olive Garden as a three year old to being someone who is courageous and never afraid to try new things. David is also the balance point to my ego and just when I think I can do something better than him physically or athletically, he proves I can't but I appreciate that he still allows me to think so. Thank you David for always keeping me humble!
Bridesmaid
Candice is one of my close friends and cousin. Although we are always separated by distance, we have always found time to visit or hangout with each other through summers, family events, or holidays. Candice is smart, outgoing, a very detailed planner, and, come to find out, an impressive bargainer. If you ever need someone to build an itinerary for your trip - she would be the person to ask. I've eaten at some delicious restaurants and also have done amazing activities because of her and didn't have to overspend. I am so happy she is not only an amazing cousin but also part of my bridal party!
Groomsman
Don't let this Linked-In photo attempt fool you. Brady is a fun brother who is always ready for a good time and not just a job interview. I told him his first sent photo was not acceptable and got this sent in return. Brady and I shared rooms growing up and knew me best as a child. Growing up, we did everything together and that included 4-H competitions where I showed a rabbit and he showed a hamster. We both knew it was the least amount of effort needed for a free multi-day ticket to the county fair to hang with friends and go to the night carnival. That's about as gangsta as it got for us. It's only natural to have this OG as a groomsman.
