Train
The Trainline website includes information on all UK public trains, timetables and bookings. Most train routes within London allow you to book directly via the Trainline website or app, and give you a QR code to use as a ticket. Bingham Riverhouse is about a 15 minute walk from the station.
Flight
This is our recommended out of the four London airports, due to its proximity to Richmond. Heathrow is approximately a 30 minute drive or 45-60 minute Tube (metro) journey away. Our recommended public transport option from Heathrow is to take the Piccadilly Tube line to Hammersmith, and change there for a Richmond-Bound District Line Tube. Almost all public transport can be paid for by contactless debit / credit card. Stations are usually well signposted and have free maps available. If you intend to use public transport, we recommend downloading the free Citymapper app, which offers more accurate timings and more expansive transport options than Google Maps.
Flight
If flights to and from Heathrow airport are not available, then Gatwick airport is also fairly easy to reach from Richmond. Gatwick airport is approximately a 50-60 minute drive from Richmond, or 50-60 minutes by train. To get to Richmond from Gatwick, we recommend taking a train to Clapham Junction, and changing there for a train to Richmond.
Hotel
Our venue has a very limited selection of 13 rooms available for the night of July 20th. If you wish to reserve one of these, please get in touch with Otto and Helena, who can send more information. Please note that these rooms are unlikely to be available for more than one night, due to other weddings likely to occur during the same week. Our venue has recommended additional hotels within a five minute drive, all of which have a larger selection of available rooms. More information on these is included below.
