Maid of Honor
Jessica, my Taurus sister, we've been best friends since high school and she's my yes woman, always up for an adventure with me. She just goes with the flow and we can literally make any day a good day when we're together. We've been across the pond and back and we've shared so many drinks, tears, laughs and sewing hacks. She's the best and I'm so thankful we get to go through all these exciting changes around the same time!
Best Man
Juckeeetttttt… *low five*. Jared is one of Nick’s oldest friends. They met after a garish comment in Health class during their freshman year at Trinity High School, and have kept their tit-for-tit friendship alive ever since. Inside jokes? They got ‘em. Embarrassing stories? Check. Traumatic pivotal moments in Nick’s life? Jared was there to right the ship. They’ve done a lot together, from camping trips, to yoga classes, to intramural sports, Jared and Nick have shared a lot of life together. Through all the ups and downs, Jared has been a true friend to Nick, especially through the downs. Nick’s life would have probably taken a dramatic turn for the worse if he and Jared hadn’t met, and Nick is forever indebted to Jared’s friendship.

Couldn't do this day without my lil bro, my very first best friend. He always keeps me in check and tells me when I'm being dumb and I just love him so much. I'm so proud of the person he is and I'm super thankful we get to be together to go through all these fun life things!

Kelly and Nick grew up together, as much as two cousins can when your parents live an hour away. Both being the firstborn sons of their fathers, they shared the responsibility of leading their younger siblings into various shenanigans while their parents visited with each other on weekend trips. Their bond was strong, and when Kelly moved to Louisville after college, they began to spend time together once again, as Kelly melded into Nick's inner circle. They love to spend time together working out at the YMCA almost as much as they love eating foods that cancel out their workouts with a single bite.

Oh Olivia (Nick's sister), the reason we are all gathered here today. If if wasn't for our friendship, I may have never even met Nick. Olivia and I have been through so many shenanigans together since high school, and we pretty much have the exact same sense of humor and she totally understands my love of weird art. From high school to college we've been making each other laugh and supporting each other through all the things. I can't wait to be a part of the Welsh family! Nick Here. Had to pop on and say something nice about Olivia. As soon as I can think of something, I will add it here.... ~One Eternity Later~ ...Okay, I would never say this to her face, but Olivia is a wonderful person and a gifted artist. For real though, she is one of the nicest, sweetest people I know, and will bend over backwards for the people she loves. We share a love of dogs, nerdy pop culture, and having the same face. I am eternally grateful to her for making friends with Megan, and eventually blessing our union. None of us would be here without her!

Jessie, baby! What happens when Nick’s best friend from high school meets Nick’s best friend from college? They get married of course! And they take Nick on all kinds of adventures together for the rest of his life! Right guys?? Jess and Nick allegedly met in a mutual friend’s dorm room in college, and their friendship blossomed over a shared interest in the guilty pleasures life has to offer. Since meeting in college, Jess has been one of the constants in Nick’s life. Who else would travel across state lines to attempt to eat tacos at a tax office? Or host a radio show named after a now-disgraced competitive arcade gamer from the late 1900s? Yep, Jess is one of Nick’s nearest and dearest, and Nick is very proud to have her in his lineup.

My cloud, Moriah and I met in a 300 person class in college. She and I navigated college together and had so much fun discovering Lexington. Some of my favorite days ever are the times when we lived together at the Zooniverse. We learned how to play the sax....kinda, hula hooped in the kitchen, and she helped me get unstuck from wall nails. I'm so happy she's back in the Bluegrass state just in time to celebrate a new stage of life!

The cousin with another husbin’... Despite growing up a steep 16 hours’ drive apart for most of their lives, Nick and Brittany - cousins on their moms’ sides - were not the type of family that saw each other every year, but when they did it was like no time had passed at all. Sharing a love for LOTR, filmmaking, and Age of Empires, their friendship extended beyond the typical familial relationship you would expect from two kids who almost never saw each other. Once instant messaging was invented, their bond soared, and as adults they make it a point to visit as often as possible. Always there with good advice and an ear to listen, Brittany has been a great force in Nick’s life, and she makes a great addition to this team!

Veronica is the friend who gets my boujie urges and she's always down to try the newest restaurant with me. Since high school, she has been there to let me vent and cry on her shoulder until I had no more tears left and she never judges me for showing my true emotions in the hard times and the best of times. Every time I come over to her house she makes me feel so cozy and taken care of and we have so much fun talking about life and crafty things over a bottle of wine. I'm so glad I have her by my side to show me how all to do all this wedding stuff!

Toe! Knee! Head! *salute* Tony & Nick have been friends for almost as long as Nick & Jared. Tony has real value. For example, he will spend far, far too much time learning the nuances of how a board game works, & when Garret the Dictionary explains the rules, Tony interprets them so that everyone else can understand them! Slightly dumber than Nick according to their high school ranking system, Tony has still managed to make a decent life for himself on the market, often regaling Nick with tales of trades that could’ve been, if only he had freed up that seed money in time. One fun fact about Tony is that while he has no problem calling Nick out for his tomfoolery face-to-face, Nick has heard that Tony will ferociously defend Nick’s honor when he’s not around. Tony? Don’t worry, he’s cool.

I met Amber in grade school and our friendship grew at Bear Creek aquatic camp. She was always my daring friend who had this smooth quiet confidence in everything she did, and being her friend just makes me feel cool and confident. She has been a pillar of my life for so many years and has literally been there for every stage of my life. I admire so much how she handles all the new changes life throws her way and that she has remained at her core, the same wonderful person I have cherished for most all my life. Can't wait to have her by my side on my wedding day!

Garrett is fast becoming one of Nick’s newest and brightest friends. Eager to share his hobbies with Nick, they have shared many hours on the fields of disc golf, playing strategic board games, and eating the most delicious burritos in Louisville, thanks to New Wave Burritos. One of Nick’s favorite things about Garrett is his contagious love for all that life has to offer. Always up for adventures, Garrett is a great guy to have around when you need to break the monotony of life. Recently off the market, Garrett is engaged to the Maid of Honor, Jessica Thomas.

Shelley (don't call her that, only I get to) and I have been best friends since Kindergarten where she came up and said "hey will you be my friend?". Our friendship was always full of magical adventures, finding little secret hangout places, searching the house for her pet lizard in the middle of the night, having her dad play his guitar/sing us to sleep and waking up to her cat staring at me. She could make friends with anyone and she always stuck by me even when I was shy, and encouraged me to break out of my shell. We may not hang out all the time like we did in grade school, but every time we get together it's like we just pick up right where we left off. Couldn't picture this day without her!

“With an ‘h’ or k’?” Guess again! As unique as his spelling of his own name, Zac is one of the greats. His fun facts about bears and war criminals are second-to-none, and his advanced years have allowed him to collect a myriad of ancient artifacts from his childhood, which he sells to curators of the finest art collections across the world whenever he needs some spending cash. Zac is a dependable friend, one who will gladly help you move without complaining once, and never ask you to return the favor. Throughout their friendship, Zac and Nick have enjoyed a number of fun activities, weekend getaways, day trips, and all around family fun. Everyone needs a Zac in their life, and Nick is happy to have found his.
