Big Four Bridge
One of our favorite walks and a great way to view the city is over the walking bridge all the way to Indiana for some chocolate from schimpffs or a drink and yard games at Union.
Game Restaurant
If you're looking to try some wild meats, Game is where you need to go! Megan's favorite is the kangaroo burger.
Rabbit Hole Distillery
You may have never heard of this one, but Rabbit Hole offers such a beautiful view of the city from the balcony of their tasting room. Their distillery is so unique and so is their bourbon.
The Parklands of Floyds Fork
Megan's favorite Louisville park is very close to the wedding venue (though it's far from where Megan and Nick live). October is such a perfect time to visit this beautiful park and see all the fall foliage.
Gravely Brewing Co
A local brewery with another fun view of the city and beers inspired by music.
Taco Luchador
One of our favorite local chain restaurants. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos on their menu but we HIGHLY suggest to get a torta instead. the Desayuno (#14) and the Ahogada (#11) are our favorites!
Copper & Kings
This is where we had our first 'official' date! There's a great outdoor space with a fire pit where Nick and I sat and talked about all the wonders of the universe.
Shirley Maes Cafe
This restaurant is right across from the street we lived onbefore we moved to our current home. The cornbread is insanely good and the wings are delicious. Don't forget to bring cash! They also may not have the dining room open depending on COVID protocols.
Louisville Cream
We suggest going here for some sweet treats and walking up and down the strip on Market street. There are many art galleries and little boutiques nearby to explore.
New Wave Burritos
This is our favorite burrito place in town! They have a small delivery zone, but we recommend visiting so that you can properly take in the New Wave aesthetic. They have delicious, gigantic burritos and amazing chips and queso, as well as a few pinball machines to complete the retro vibe.
