How do I get there?
Answer
Ubers and rideshares can be spotty once you’re in Portola, so we recommend renting a car for the weekend if possible. We’re also exploring a shuttle option from Reno Airport depending on guest interest. Is your wedding in Blairsden-Graegle or Portola?
Answer
The venue is smack dab in the middle of these two towns, so you may see multiple addresses for the venue, either Portola or Blairsden-Graegle. We've also seen this area called Mabie so 🤷

Where should I stay?
Answer
We would love everyone to stay at the venue with us, Chalet View Lodge, where all the events will be taking place. They have an assortment of rooms that sleep from 2 to 4 people. Please see the travel & accommodations tab for more details.

How many nights should I plan to stay?
Answer
We’d love for everyone to stay onsite at Chalet View Lodge on Saturday, June 20th—that’s the big night! We’ll be there from Thursday to Sunday, so feel free to stay as long as your schedule allows. The more time we get to hang out, the better!

The hotel rooms and events are on the same property and no more than a 2 minute walk from each other.

What should I wear?
Answer
Friday – Poolside BBQ: Cute BBQ casual – Think relaxed, summery outfits you’d wear to a backyard poolside hangout (but make it cute!). Friday - Welcome Dinner Think summer evening in Italy - comfortable, upscale casual. Saturday – Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Garden Formal – Long dresses or lighter suits in bright colors, bold prints, and joyful flair. The ceremony is on grass, so choose your shoes accordingly (stilettos beware!).

All events will be outdoors.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Expect warm, sunny days and cooler evenings—it’s summer in the Sierras! Luckily, the events are within a 2 minute walk of the hotel rooms so you can easily grab jackets or sweaters as we get into the evening.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Answer
The lodge provides ADA rooms. We’re confirming additional accessibility details and will share them here soon. If you have specific concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Answer
We’d love for you to take and share photos throughout the weekend! We’ll be sharing a link to a shared drive so everyone can upload their favorite captures. That said, we kindly ask that you put your phones away during the ceremony so we can all be fully present in the moment. ❤️

Which meals are included during the weekend?
Answer
Yes! We’ll be providing food at all the main events: 🍔 Friday Arrival BBQ Lunch 🍕 Friday Welcome Dinner 🍽️ Saturday Reception Dinner Plus, there will be snacks available throughout the weekend to keep everyone fueled and happy. There’s also a Starbucks and a brewery on-site for casual breakfast and pub fare, and a few local spots in Portola and Blairsden-Graegle if you want to explore—check out the 'Things To Do' tab for recommendations!

Your presence is the best gift of all! We know we have asked for a lot with travel and accommodations and you celebrating with us is all we need. Any gifts or contribution toward our future together is not necessary but truly appreciated.
